I completely agree. The last thing we need is heavy handed censorship here. Frankly if <insert number here> would just calm down, most of the problems would go away. Most of the over-the-top comments here don't get out of hand and drag on like the GREAT DEEP CONTROVERSY, you know? I would suggest that what we really need to watch out for is running off new members. (Although frankly, if they head for the political forum, I say they're fair game! ). Of course, there's nothing we can do about Chuck on the Offering & Looking For Forum, but that's a special case, and damn it, part of the charm of the place!

I think it would probably be easier to divide up the board, maybe even a moderator for each section. I know it's the most vicious part of the board, but I'll volunteer for the discography section...

Good news, Bruce! I looked into the Canadian route for my drugs after this thread started, but to be honest, there isn't that much of a savings on my stuff. Luckily, mine have generics.

I agree with you. I made my suggestion more because I don't want to see the board become a "subscription required" thing than a desire to get more.

Exactly. I don't think it's necessary, but it would be much better than scaring off potential new board members by making it a required subscription. Those of us who are already hooked don't mind, but a new person would.
