  1. 63, retired three years ago.
  2. 4. It's "Eye strain" from Vito Price "Swingin' the loop". Very nice tune.
  3. OK, I was thinking of L.A. but it was London. Unknown to me, great choice.
  4. 6. Intriguing. Classic free jazz at his best, sax intro is beautiful, similar maybe to Noah Howard, I like a lot the bowed bass and drumming section, I need this album (or maybe I already have it).
  5. Terrific album.
  6. Chicago is my favorite scene, I've been following 30 years ago, I've even been there. Playing with that energy (NRG) could only be Mars Williams and I went straight to that archive record.
  7. Recorded live at Elastic Chicago, 2012. The late Mars Williams with Darin Gray and Chris Corsano, "Elastic".
  8. The free jazz section: 3. Hyper-Aylerism, almost Brotzmann-esque. Sounds familiar to me but I don't id yet. 5. More contemporary vibes, maybe Chicago school post-Vandermark? 6. Disoriented, no idea who is.
  9. 7. "This side of infinity" from Sonny Fortune "From now on". 10. "Odds on" from Charles Kynard "Afro-Disiac".
  10. 10. Of course it reminds The Meters "Cissy Strut", another one similar is Reuben Wilson "Bus ride". Ultra funky.
  11. 2. Contemporary drumming, Jay Bellerose? It sounds to me like the Jeff Parker circle without guitar.
  12. 10. It's Charles Mingus "Canon" from Roberto Ottaviano "Charlie's Blue Skylight".
  13. Yep, nice reissue, 1976 ABC jazz library serie. I need to check that record, new to me.
  14. Japanese reissue of the Quincy album arrived at home.
  15. 9. I got it. Super rare, it's "Taurus the 20th" from Rufus Harley "Scotch & Soul".
