    Jim Hall

Time for me to dig my ears in and check it all out. I own a bunch of Jim Hall, but never really got into it. dB
  4. We have an event running where they show The wizard of OZ with the sound of the music of Dark Side of the moon. But i think your matchup is more interesting, does it fit well ? I think some kind of Woman's volleyball tournament would work much better.

  14. I wonder if this is the end of Anderson's tenure in Yes. Rick Wakeman's come and gone so much I don't think he'd be as difficult to replace, though reviews of the current tour make it sound as if Oliver W. isn't quite as impressive as some of the other Yes keyboard players in the past. That's some interesting news, I hope the new material is too. Maybe this will be a kick in the ass for the rhythm section.
  15. I had a fried telephone book. dB
  16. $1.47 in NJ. .
  17. Give a guitar the Plek treatment sounds magical although I've never played one. It's supposed to be the most amazing set up. dB
  18. Happy Birthday! It's my Dads too, he's 80! dB
  19. One thing I don't understand....I think he's an important modern composer - he gets plenty of press and performances - but I never see him mentioned as an influence by other composers. What's up with that? dB
  20. I thought the staging looks interesting. That's what the story is about. The thread's about George Crumb. edit: it's even relevant to your post 18.
