  1. It all just reminds me that I wouldn't give old Stanley the fucking time of day. If he sat next to me at the bar, I'd grab my drink and sit in the next room. I don't know, man. Maybe it's my penchant for self-criticism or guilt, and I wouldn't tell you how to live---but I think it's easier to call other people out than look in the mirror. It's even easier to talk shit than play good, as is evidenced by all the wanking opinionating (including my own dumbass chimings in) on the Intraweb. Besides, the fact that we're all giving Stanley the time of day is proof positive that, like it or not, he gets under our skin. That makes him the winner at this game and a master puppeteer. Nah..he just gets on my nerves. I look in the mirror all the time, but this isn't about me.
  2. sounds good to me. methinks Funny Rat should have been threaded.

  4. Great episode and one of my favs. too. Lot of autobiographical commentary on "Stop at Willoughby" Serling was overworked and stressed. I saw a few TZs last night. I really enjoyed "Dead Man's Shoes." A body is dumped in an alley. A homeless guy takes off the snazzy pair of shoes from the body, puts them on, and becomes transformed in such a way that he takes on characteristics of the dead man. He then goes out to avenge the murder. In the end, after taking out one of the gangmembers, he too is shot. With dying breath he says, "I'm gonna be back. I'm gonna keep coming back. I'm coming back till I get you, Johnny!" The body is dumped in the alley and another homeless person takes the shoes. I remember that one. I'd like to get the box, but that's a lot of material to check out. I couldn't be bothered to watch any of the last marathon, but this was an amazing series. Too bad there isn't much tv like this now a days.
  5. bing, bing, bing. we have a winner!
  6. you might want to get your triads examined.
  7. It's all so clear to me now.... I'm the keeper of the cheese, and you're the lemon merchant!! Preferable to I am the pitcher, you are the catcher, I am the pitcher, you are the catcher, I am the pitcher, you are the catcher, I am the pitcher, you are the catcher, I am the pitcher, you are the catcher, I am the pitcher, you are the catcher, I am the pitcher, you are the catcher, I am the pitcher, you are the catcher.
  8. please describe the episode.
  9. at least you weren't in them at the time.
  10. Own it. Bought it many years ago, read the first page and thought: "that's all I need". I pulled out a few days ago, started leafing through it and decided that I have to work through the examples. Some of them I look at and think - I know what that sounds like, others I'd have to check out on a piano. It was kinda strange getting in here last night with book in my bag and seeing this thread.
  11. Got it. It's so damm good.
  12. I think I'd rather pop the corks and get loaded before I go through customs. It sounds too complicated to me. burp...
  13. I was thinking of the Ben Watson of The Negative Dialectics of Poodle Play & the Wire. Maybe someone is pretending to be him. :rsly:
  14. I wonder if Ben Watson really wrote that. It could be some fool in the sticks.
  15. It's only 92 now. Predictin' 102.
