I use the Holland Tunnel -> West Side Highway S -> FDR N -> Williamsburg Bridge. Depending on the time of day and year, I've also used 278 from SI, but it's expensive coming back that way. Getting back on *track*, make sure you don't get too near the Amtrak lines. Wouldn't want to cause another *train wreck* now, would you? B-) Hell...I live about an 8th of a mile from the NE Amtrack line. It must be all my fault.

  11. I know. I just don't to spend $39+ or what ever to get it. I can't find it on their web site.
  12. 46 days 'till Spring!
  13. I'd like to see a cd reissue of the three John Abercrombie Group albums. The Derek Bailey & Dave Holland album. Yellow Fields by Eberhard Weber.
  14. WTF! 30! I guess I have a collection of guitars/basses too, but not that many. I really only play a few of them, however I can't stand to part with them.
  15. congrats!
  16. Since the link is long dead, I dug up this article. Larry Young's Tragic Genius by Guy Sterling .
  17. Larry Young - Mothership Larry Young - Of Love and Peace
  18. I only bring it out once and while when playing with Organissimo. When I play with the R&B band, I use it for piano, horns, strings, Rhodes, Wurlizter, clavinet, nutty synth solos, etc. With the big "O" I just use it for Rhodes and Wurli, mainly. It has very convincing electric piano patches (back me up, Paul, Chuck, or Greg!) but it's a beast to haul around. I think it weighs about 40lbs or so. Randy wanted me to bring it out for the Firefly gig, so I did. I only used it on three tunes. Ah! Ok....
  19. Woah...woah...woah...you have a synth on top of your gear? What do you use it for?
  20. Thanks for all the welcome. Very cool. I will enjoy this honeymoon period while it lasts Sa Re Ga Pa Da Sa right back at ya!! So, you know this stuff. Player, Listener, lurker? I took a raga singing class and some raga singing lessons a few years ago, but I'm not a singer (I do play guitar, but that's another story). So I'm mostly a listener, I have a decent collection, mostly North Indian. Enjoy your stay at the big O.
  21. must have been late for work.
