  2. cool...I couldn't find it in the store, good to see it on line. nice to see a review in a musician's magazine, I'm sure that feels good.

  4. That's happy! It's a full scale classical. 2" wide fingerboard, more than 25" scale length. When I go back to the Tele, the neck feels like a stick.

  8. Was Steely Dan a big influence on 70s and 80s jazz? I don't think so, more likely, the other way around. exactly.

    "Crazy"

I know about it, never saw it. Isn't it produced by Steve Vai?
  11. No need to use the past tense. There are many ways around it, such as entry thru search engines (Google Advanced Search for instance) and with tabbed browsers it's not that inconvenient. The DMCA prevents me from suggesting this sort of behavior or going into more detail, but there are lots of helpful tips online about reading the NY Times that don't involve buying a Ford. I'll check Google Advanced Search out. Thanks.
  12. I'll miss reading their news, particularly the arts.

  17. I bought a Godin classical Thursday afternoon, I've really been jones-ing for a classical for quite a while. Only 400 bills, I'm quite impressed for that price!
  18. An excellent description!
  19. I've been to both these places...Café Orwell on a Friday night was a pretty hopping place. GBM on a Monday was kinda quiet, but Mondays are pretty much like that anywhere. I'd play Café Orwell, in fact I'd like to do just that sometime.

    ASIA

I heard them play at the beginning of that tour at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ. A much more intimate experience than I had, I'm sure! A great venue. I heard a lot of great shows there. Those were the days...that wasn't one of them.

I take back one thing I said - I don't dislike Asia, they're actually not bad at the music they make. If I listen to their early albums as AOR rock, it's actually not bad. The disappointment only comes in when you consider (as a prog fan) what they *could* have done. Exactly. I do hear quality musicianship, but the tunes are kinda fluffy.
