  1. I didn't hear a word she said...I did like how she said them though. !
  2. Doesn't really matter now...I got to keep my leg! I don't remember what I actually paid for visits. I was too toasted on meds at the time. .
  3. That's great news! When I had an operation on my leg 13 years ago, I saw the full cost when they pulled up my account on the CRT. Something like $65,000 in 1996. I wonder what it would be now. .
  4. Dancing a jig yet? *
  5. I wish I could have caught this. I did see some Bfefck tunes on YouTube the day after the performance. .

    I say drop it...sorry I can't donate, hard times 4 me now. .
  7. Q&A isn't on ECM!!!
  8. It would be easier to make a list of artists I like on ECM, but I'm on my way out for dinner now. .
  9. A lot different than my top 10, what ever that might be. I like the Torn, but there's so many ECM albums I love that it would be more like a top 30-50. Conference of the Birds most certainly belongs there. A couple of those I've never even heard.
  10. Yeah man...and he was doing it long before Kiss and Aerosmith.
  11. I love his bowed solos on those Dolphy era albums...microtonal! Not by design. I always thought it was maybe 24tet/quartertonal by design. Oh well...works for me.
  12. Miroslav Vitous, I've been listening to these during the holiday.
  13. I love his bowed solos on those Dolphy era albums...microtonal! .
  14. I remember the pigs and the movies on the round screen during Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon. I was 17. !
  15. They don't light fireworks at shows anymore? Happened all the time at rock shows back then. I heard an audience recording of the only PF show I went to at MSG, NYC in July '77 and it brought back memories of fireworks going off, followed by boos. Even at the time I thought it was unusual for a Floyd show, even though it happened at all the other shows I went to. .
  16. Too bad the thread isn't called the bowed upright bass - arco, so down thread readers/posters know what it's all about.
  17. As a bassist yourself your enthusiasm is understandable , but a 2-and-a-half-hour solo bass album strikes me as an indulgence not likely to be granted by many non-musician jazz fans . Sounds interesting to me! I remember getting Dave Holland's Emerald Tears when I was a kid and being just blown away. Ones All, his other solo bass album was nice, but didn't have the same effect. 2 1/2 hours of bowed bass might be a bit much.
  18. A few meals in one. !
  19. Sounds like a decent price. .
  20. Eberhard Weber! *
  21. Pressed Rat and Warthog. :rsmile:
  22. There's one near me in a strip mall. Their Jazz section is quite thin, but I stop in if I'm in the the neighborhood in case they have something used, cheap and interesting. *
  23. Edgard Varèse, The present day composers get shirts! *
