    Joe Lovano

Get well soon Mr. Lovano! I hope he didn't break anything. Falling and breaking bones is a bitch, it takes a while to get better. I'm still there man! .
  2. Sadowsky Guitars is pleased to announce our newest archtop model, the LS-17.
  3. I want one of them too.
  4. Sweet! .
  5. I was checking out a Godin ACS-SA (classical solid body) a few days before I broke my elbows (12 weeks today!). I want one, but I can't afford it now. Bah! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself!

    Dewey Redman

I listened to this a few times last week...I like those duets with Sarone. Dewey Redman - The Ear of the Behearer
  7. Did you move back to NYC? I thought you went to Fl. .
  8. This all sounds kind of familiar...like we've held this discussion recently. I've been thinking of writing different arrangements of my pieces so I can use different instruments. For starters, the one we were playing in July didn't have a bass part. When I write one this Winter, it's getting played on a keyboard.
  9. spinning this one right now: Robin Trower - Another Day Blues
  10. I was on the same planet as Monk once, so I must know what I'm talking about. .
  11. Hate to encourage Allen, but I thought it was funny. I'd give it one, maybe two stars out of five.
  12. Thanks Larry - no need for Allen to be really nasty and sarcastic about it, but he's sick..he can't help himself.
  13. I thought so.
  14. a bass tuned like a cello, in fifths must be fun to play. needs real long pinkies.
  15. I must be thinking of a piccolo bass guitar. My apologies.
  16. So then what's the difference between a piccolo bass and a tenor guitar?
  17. Sounds reasonable to me. .
  18. ...and woosh! there it goes...over his head and outta the ball park. .
  19. I would think there's a difference between starting a conversation, stopping it, and than continuing it months later and not talking for three months. I've been on the internet for 17 years...I know a net kook when I see one, so I'm talking from experience. edit: of course, that's just a distant diagnosis.
  20. So what? My Dad's been doing that for years. What ever...Doctor (cough).
  21. The Definitive Monk Bio: So, Was He Crazy, or What? Thelonious Monk - Published: November 2, 2009 By Dr. Judith Schlesinger AAJ article here. edit for a comment: this is a different twist on the usual shit I run into on a day to day basis...crazy people who think they're a genius.
  22. They're both great albums! I really like the balance between the horn and the band on the Surman album. It's amazing how changing the bass player in the Abercrombie band changes things. I don't know what's different, but something has changed.
