  1. Dmitry, will let you know. The final score could have been worse had France cashed in that confusion between the keeper and the defender.
  2. Don’t cry for me Argentina Notwithstanding the three goals by Argentina, this was not a great Argentina team. France was impressive and with a little better defense, they could could have won more comfortably. They vault up in my estimation but if they face Uruguay, I’m not sure I see them winning Get my cd ready Dmitry
  3. I will be rooting for Argentina today even though this may cost me a CD. One thing France has that no other country has is the best national anthem. Nothing compares to it, in my opinion.
  4. Less than an hour to kickoff. Messi is playing center forward.
  5. Dan Ingram, Irreverent DJ, Dies at 83 For those of you not from the New York area, Dan Ingram was a very popular DJ from the early 60s until the 21st Century; I used to listen him on WABC in NY in the mid 60s. Cousin Brucie was also another fixture on WABC. RIP.
  6. Is your program limited to studio sessions? If not, how about Monday Night in Birdland and Another Monday Night in Birdland.
  7. The title of my post was tongue in cheek.
  8. Thanks. I thought it was a great article, especially since I had not known of him.
  9. The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted to approve this proposed legislation. The full Senate is expected to approve; the House approved it earlier this year. From the New York Times: "The bill is meant to correct the flaws and loopholes that have led musicians to complain about unfair compensation from streaming services, while also protecting companies like Spotify from lawsuits. It also establishes a truce between music publishers and digital music services over an aspect of licensing that has led to a string of multimillion-dollar lawsuits." 10. The engineer behind the sound at Contemporary Records. The Search for Roy DuNann (from Jazz Profiles)
  11. I have the older version and I think it sounds fine. Pierre Michelot is superb, as are all the musicians, but Michelot creates the mood.
  12. They’re better off finishing second as they’re not in the “bracket of death.”
  13. Saturday through next Friday are going to be dreadful in the Northeast US: in the 90s.
  14. Agreed. Both teams have probably figured they’ll be the favorites in the next match so why go all out, and pick up an injury or a card.
  15. And your impressions?
  16. Based on today’s lineups, it may be difficult to draw any conclusions from the match.
  17. Happy that Colombia made it through. There are many Colombianos in our area and I’m sure they are celebrating. I think they will have a tough time with either Belgium or England.
  18. Thanks Larry. I’m going to Princeton on Friday (not Jim’s Princeton ) and I will see if they have the Bluebird.
  19. I’m not sure I wholeheartedly agree about being bereft of ideas. We have to credit the SK defense, especially the goalie. He was all over the place. I wonder how many saves he made.
  20. WTF! Amazing. Being a champion has its disadvantages. Mexico has gone from contenders to pretenders in my book.
