Unfortunately, I missed the Brasil game although it couldn’t have topped the Mexico game. I thought the ref did a great job in letting the players play. It’s shaping up as a very good tournament.

An historic win. I was convinced until the whistle that Germany would score. Opening matches are not kind to WC Champs.

Terrific match so far. Hard to say who’s better, even though Mexico has the lead.

I can't disagree with you that they were a better team but I have a distaste for their players (and the country generally). I hope they're taught a lesson in their next match

The Egyptian defense was very disciplined and almost pulled off the tie. They are going to need to win their next two matches to go through. Playing Russia will be no easy task and the Russians will probably gamble for a tie since they have a very large goal differential.
