  1. Just kidding about the charm. In our town he's a certified asshole.
  2. Bregman will make you love him. He's a charmer.
  3. Full speed ahead now, correct?
  4. That's a damn good record.
  5. Good to have it back, thanks!!!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
  6. This is what stuff like Yellowjackets is paying for. Good business is not just about taking!
  7. He began seriously going to AA in 1983. The Anabus revelation occurred earlier that year, at the Poetry recording with Albert Dailey, necessitating the solo piano solo cuts. That's a really crazy story. This is all per the Maggin bio, which is at times a really harrowing read.
  8. I think he made his best music once he committed to sobriety and started trying to make amends.
  9. That's crazy!!
  10. How are they delivering a free digital sampler if not by download? What's the waiting for?
  11. It was "local", but hey, Fathead, James Clay, and Leroy Cooper, nothing but flayva.
  12. David Fathead Newman, Ellis Marsalis and Cornell Dupree - Return to the Wide Open Spaces (Steady Boy Records) This is a very good record,
  13. Anybody look familiar here? https://big10inchrecord.blogspot.com/2025/01/its-summertime-or-so-ray-charles.html
  14. I'm playing a Japanese Milestone CD version that has five extra cuts. The Super Bowl started before I got to that one. You may be right. But the record overall comes off like a McCoy record with Sonny sitting in. It's not a balanced presentation imo.
  15. Cash McHawken - Songs Of Guns, Love, and Algorithms!!!
  16. Unfortunately there are no tenor/bass/drums trio numbers.
  17. You're welcome!
  18. I'd be curious to hear what else was recorded on the Milestone Jazzstars tour. No expectations, just curious.
  19. There was a sharity blog that had them all up for download. So nothing's going to disappear. And some things...resonate better with the patina of age and such. They were songs from the underground then, they are even more that now. If Keno Duke is not a ghost, who the hell is? If Alke-Bulan is not a ritual from a distant ever-dimming age, nothing is. For some things, restoration is vainglorious deception.
  20. The masterpiece of the bunch, imo.
