From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_Minus_One Now this kinda tripped me out: http://www.musicminusone.com/CompanyInfo/Licensing.asp etc....

The first, yes: http://www.musicminusone.com/Mainpages/det...964&catID=0 The second, apparently not... OOPS, that is not a Rodgers/Hart-only product... There is this one, but Duvivier is not listed: http://www.musicminusone.com/Mainpages/det...476&catID=0 It looks like not all MMOs have have been transferred to CD in their original configurations. Some yes, but some no.

Didn't he buy up Inner City & Classic Jazz at one point?

And fwiw, Dan, your conclusion is one which we have drawn as well, but her boss wants "an answer" tomorrow at 8 A.M., and....enough studies of specific controls over several studies comes up with the 15-20 day average, almost always, so that's what she's going with. So Kudos to Mr. Bond for the early call as well! Hell, she works for Blue Cross. You'd think they'd already have shit like this on file, right?

The Queen Of My World got a last-minute (literally) job-related request for a statistic regarding what the national average length of stay for infants in Neonatal Intensive Care. She brought it home, thinking it would be easy to cop, but alas, it has not been. We have both done any # of what we think would be likely Google searches with no success. Anybody who can help us out & provide a link with this apparently elusive statistic will be on our Special List Of All-Time Great Heroes for all time! As always, thanks in advance!

CONGRATULATIONS, CARY!!!

Also found: http://www.prosing.com/mmoshow.asp?i=Recorder+(soprano) Non-G.D. side note - these are the three original MMO albums, now on two CDs. There's one tune missing, I think, but check out the players! https://www.musicminusone.com/mainpages/det...94&catID=35 https://www.musicminusone.com/mainpages/det...95&catID=35 The second has Wilbur Ware on bass! And at least one Waldron MMO has made it to CD: http://www.musicminusone.com/Mainpages/det...963&catID=0

The Lincoln. AFAIK, there is no decent "under one roof" collection of these, unless the late, lamented Masters Of Jazz label got to them before they folded. God knows there should be. The best LP I've come across was on some label called "Everybody's". It was Everybody's EV-3002, and besides the '44 Basie items, it had 2 superb cuts by Prez's first post-Basie combo (w/Shad & John collins), as well as 1 cut by the Young Brothers Band. Sublime music from start to finish, and all I got it on is a 20 year-old cassette dub from a buddy of mine. This stuff ain't exactly "common" by any stretch of the imagination, but hell, it has been put out there, if only on some already obscure, "collector's" labels. I guess all those damn pirates who just copy shit from legit labels are too lazy to do some real work...

Don't forget, he's also played soprano too. Certainly a distinctive voice on all axes. Catch him with Hank on Breakthrough, as well as with KD one Time album and one Jaro album. Davis also had a release on the short-lived West 54 label, but that one didn't do as much for me as I had hoped. He also had a side on Nilva which I have yet to pick up on. That Blue Gardenia side is pretty nifty, though, and I see that there's recent ones on Red & Smalls that I've not yet gotten to. Sure looks good, both of them do.

Reminds me of a story.... A recently married couple had been living in pure bliss for almost a month when the husband's birthday drew near. The wife, eager to please the love of her life upon this, his special day, said to him with total sincerity, "since it will be the day the day that you, the one whose life means more to me than all others came into being, it will be my pleasure to do for you anything you ask. And I do mean anything!" The husband, a man of unlimited desire but perhaps not so unlimited imagination, thought for a while, unable to decide which of the many fantasies running through his mind he would choose to come true. Finally he reached a conclusion and said, "I would like nothing more than for you to fix me a fine steak dinner, after which we will go into the living room, and you can fellatiate me while I watch a Three Stooges video that you personally select for me. "The wife, a fine cook and a most randy spirit herself, readily agreed. They sealed the deal with a passionate session of lovemaking right then and there. Oh how deeply in love they were! The big day came, and the wife went to the city's finest meat market and bought their best porterhouse. She stopped at the neighborhood video store on the way home and rented every Three Stooges DVD collection the store had. This, she just knew in her heart of hearts, would be a night that they would both remember forever. Needless to say, the husband cane home from work on Cloud Nine, knowing that the woman he loved above all else was preparing to open new doors of ecstasy for him. The dinner was superb, almost orgasm-inducing itself, so perfectly prepared it was. They retired to the living room, whereupon the wife excused herself for a few moments, only to return clad in see-through black lingerie and the reddest red lipstick imaginable. The husband immediately sprung to the fullest of attentions, whereupon the wife unbuckled his belt, lowered his trousers, turned on the DVD player, and gently yet purposefully pushed him down into his favorite chair. For over an hour she pleasured him in ways that he had never dreamed possible, and that, truthfully, she herself had never performed before. Hers was a spontaneous outpouring of the purest, most intense passion imaginable. All the while, the husband was enjoying the pleasure of his his life, accompanied by the madcap antics of his favorite comedy ensemble of all time. Could life ever be any better than this? Surely not! Finally, the moment of inevitability began to arrive, the most passionate & loving event in this most passionate and loving of encounters. But alas, suddenly, without any warning, the husband leaped from his chair and yelled with near-homicidal vehemence, " GODDAMN IT!!! YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!! YOU GOTTA GO AND FUCK EVERYTHING UP, DON'T YOU!!!" The wife pulled backed in shocked disbelief and began to weep uncontrollably. "What have I done, my love, what have I done?" Without hesitation, the husband ejaculated, "Sonofabitch, it's a motherfucking SHEMP!!!" Thing were never quite the same for the young couple after that...

It was coupled with "Live at the Five Spot" on a Blue Note two-fer in the 1970's. Can't recall the title. Little Niles, wasn't it?
