Walker's solo career...first that I was aware of was his 70s run on Ode, which were professional but...not what I was looking for.
And his co-leader dates with Joe Sample which were probably ok, but by then I would not have been paying a lot of attention.
So what was the deal with this record and this label? And Mel Brown, the drummer, Seattle Mel Brown, not impulse! Mel Brown, never recorded a lot anyway, so this adds to the findings.
