  1. Azamon now says arriving tomorrow by 10 PM!!!!! Trending in the right direction!
  2. Do you guys have air conditioning up there? I know that for a lot of the older houses, they didn't always do that. You lived down here to know that we don't like to even THINK about no air conditioning!
  3. Not to my ears, but I have a pretty wide tolerance for that type of thing. The "problem" for me on that one is that there's not the best balance between instruments. But you can use your imagination there. It's an important document, imo. "Listenability" is more of an entertainment factor.
  4. Santazamon's Magic Truck Sleighs! Rudoph, with your eyes so red, won't you deliver 'fore I go to bed?
  5. Azamon is like Santa's sleigh working it's way across the American time zone lands...wonder if we can get a NORAD app to track the progress for all the little boys and girls waiting for their new lee morgan record, go to sleep now, children, lee will be here when you wake up!
  6. Was Paul hungover, shacked up, or "got lost" or just what, that this was a trio? What was the gig, anyway? Looks like they were on the bill with Duke?
  7. Arriving tomorrow by 11 PM, Azamon says!
  8. Part 1 or Part 2?
  9. Was that before or after his amnesia?
  10. I mean, who among us hasn't tried these individual components separately? But putting them together and actually builing something out of it...and oh, yeah, anybody can play with "found sounds", "natural sounds", whatever, but to build all this like this, that takes a musician, not just a tape recorder and a self-granted sense of empowerment.
  11. Does that monkey need gas money? Let me know, please.
  12. Loosdrecht is worth it if only for the stretched out version of "Repetition".
  13. Billy Sol Estes or Estes Kefauver?
  14. Jesus or Paul?
  15. NO! It's a brand of household cleaners, including bleach. The bleach is packaged like bleach, but the cleaner is packed in these transaparent plastic bottles with these candy-ish colors that reflect their scent. It's not rounds like a 2-liter, but the color of the liquid is very soda-looking.. I guess an Anglo equivalent would be PineSol or something, a cleaning liquid that you can use for most anything, straight or diluted. Started in Venezuela, now part of Colgate-Palmolive, and found in all our area grocery stores. There's a market! https://www.fabuloso.com/our-story
  16. A beacon gone dark.
  17. To this day, it freaks me out how that stuff is packaged like soda pop. I assume that kids who grow up with it are taught early, but lord, if for whatever reason a kid who wasn't finds themselves unattended in a house that uses that product and gets to thinking they're thirsty...it's the clear plastic bottles, that's what it is. Everytime I walk past it in the grocery store, I say a little prayer.
  18. They're just like Fats Waller! Ok, Oscar Brown Jr.
  19. ‘The Complete Live at The Lighthouse’ by Lee Morgan Review: A Beacon Gone Dark Trying very hard - and ultimately failing! -not to LOL at that! Lighthouse/Beacon/Gone Dark...LOL. "Clever" headline writing will be with us forever I suppose. Otherwise, yeah, 50 ears, gone more than just "dark", LOL. Azamon still says Arriving Friday!
  20. Those Atari games have been at least partially retrieved. Some guy actually went on a dig and found the spot. Those Paramount 78s that supposedly got thrown into the river, not so much.
  21. Billy McGruffin and The Family Goat - A Taste of Halal
  22. What I love about great music is that no matter how times you hear it, there's always something new to lean your ear toward. Right now, it's Clifford Jorday on the 64 Bremen. I mean, my god, everything by this band, ever, please. But of course, Dolphy, and then Byard will grab your ears by the balls. But let the swelling subside, and oh MY, Clifford Jordan, y'all! Great music.

    Ernie Watts

Really, don't overlook him with Buddy Rich. That's his jiggiest stuff, right there!
