IIRC, Pangea was released in Japan more or less contemporaneously (i.e, within a year's span) with Agharta. Dark Magus didn't come out in Japan until after the hiatus (not yet "retirement") hwas underway. Definitely not released close to the time it was recorded. Liebman was still on the band. I just like the cover photo on the Alamac. As far as who's together or not, hey, it's Sweeden, 1950. Just do the math. My expectations are different. What I'm listening for on stuff like this is not how well they play as much as it is what they're trying to play. What are they hearing? What does it appear that they THINK they are hearing? Of course that's true at some level for most all music, but for stuff like this it seems to be more germane to the core of the experience.

I've been told that, at age 64, I am considered "elderly". Who knew? I've also been told that at one local hospital network, if it gets to be crunch time in ICUs with limited resources, that "young" people will be prioritized over "older" people for resources like ventilators. Kinda the ultimate "Ok, Boomer"! Nature - and administrative decisions - will show us yet that we are not meant to live at the center of ours and everybody else's universe forever! So, it's time to just stay at home as much as reasonably possible, avoid crowds as much as possible, just keep a safe distance in all ways in all things, and keep an eye on Craigslist for ventilators.

On a serious note, is there any chance that it was the saxophonist Kenny Rogers who passed away? I just assumed he was already gone, but maybe not. I think this guy is the same one that played with Lee in the 50s, and if so, RIP>
