Manhunt:Deadly Games - against all what I thought were my instincts, this one got me hooked with the southeastern US accents and the lack of "star power" cast.

"Poor Side Of Town" is a great record, an all-time great record. But it tells a story with a very specific point of view which suits the singing and production perfectly. The rest of the songs on this album do not suit the singing perfectly, although the still-sumptuous productions seems to think it doesn't matter.

Pretty sure that there should be an international moratorium on scat singing, but other than that, I like the song and the singing of it. Plus, nice tenor playing by Chelsea Carmichael. This is all coming out of the UK, apparently.

#4...the tenor player's tone really sounds like George Adams, but the rest of it maybe not so much. Is it an ECM record somehow? Trying to think of somebody who would have that sound and that phrasing....whoever it is, I really like it. Also, is #7 Marshall Allen? Not too many altoists play with that range in that range with such total command of the partials.
