  1. Always noted him being significantly older than me. No longer a meaningful measure. But for a kid whose Cowboy hatred was just beginning, he will always live forever in my heart for the Ice Bowl. Best TV football Game ever, or certainly one of them. RIP

Once again, I see no ignorance revealed in your 100% wrong-less assessment!

I heard it as an imp-less CT, yeah.
  5. Is this the Tenor Madness cover you got? Love these types of Prestige LP reissues, with liner notes written from a then-current "historical perspective", actual essays, usually, things you had to sit down to read!
  6. Overall, I like this a lot better than the Jewel/Atlantic stuff put out by Savoy. And this is so much better than the studio records, the band is kicking some serious ass here.. Jackie Mills!!!!! + Dizzy sitting in with the band on two cuts. per https://www.colorado.edu/amrc/sites/default/files/attached-files/jubilee_201-300.pdf Ray Linn, Dale Pierce, Nelson Shellady, Carl Green or Zeke Zarchey, trumpets; BrittWoodman, Ollie Wilson, Hal Smith or Freddie Zito, trombones; Wilbur Schwartz, clarinet, alto & tenor saxes; Harry Klee, flute & alto sax; Ralph Lee, tenor sax & bassoon; Lucky Thompson, Gus McReynolds, tenor saxes; Hy Mandel, baritone sax; Boyd Raeburn, bass sax; Dodo Marmarosa, piano, & celeste; Tony Rizzi or Dave Barbour, guitar; Harry Babasin, string bass; Jackie Mills, drums; Time to get those Hep CDs.
  7. Have you gotten tothis one?
  8. After a good long while claiming that he had! That Art Blakey...he was a rascal!
  9. https://salsablanca.com/ethnomusicology/cuban-instruments/cuban-laud-the-12-string-guitar-from-cuba/ http://www.fernandezmusic.com/Laud.html https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/threads/119002-Cuban-Laud biggest preliminary take-away from this for me is that the laud is a direct descendent of the oud.
  10. Ok, that's a good place to play!
  11. What else will Craft/Concord have for us if this set goes well. A big ol' bunch of Fajardo, perhaps?
  12. Right now I'm on the cusp (here's hoping...) of getting into an XL. To get all the down to a medium will take more diet than I likely have life!
  13. I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that the Fatboy sizes of the Panart t-shirt are all sold out. You get your medium or you get your small or else you don't get you a t-shirt at all. #tellingtshirtdemographic Maybe Panart will be the Bluenote Cultlabel of the 21st century.
  14. Ron McMaster's last job apparently. I have a few of the LPs, that PanArt studio sounded great to begin with, can't wait to hear how he's, hopefully, refined the originals for digital optimalism.
  15. Have you contacted Mosaic directly? If not, you should. Even in their current quasi-stupor, I'd think they can get that done for you.
  16. Ordered! So this is on Craft, which is a Concord label...does Concord now own the PanArt catalog? If so...oh my god...the treasures that are there... https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stories/complete-cuban-jam-sessions-interview/
  17. There's a selection as to whether or not you want your name to be publicly associated with the donation. Did you make a selection there? Don't recall if that's opt-out or opt-in, but that might be why it's showing as offline.
