so was Sonny subbing for James Spaulding?

Having benefits does not mean that there is not out-of-pocket expense involved. In most plans, though, there is a cap on how much OOP expense is incurred before being paid at 100%. Without knowing the specifics of the plan, it's hard to tell what the specifics are. So, yes, both scenarios are possible.

The other two are here (and probably other places, but this is where I have them).

and everybody loves ice cream! np, first and probably last time... shoulda listened to it when I bought it, might have been more interested. But that Steve White guy, not too bad. (and yes, I already have - and have heard - his other OJC, as well as his Liberty LP.)

The revival is said to have sucked. I did not engage. I remember thinking that Lynch doing a series, period, was going to be, uh...interesting. My impression is that when he realized he had a hit on his hands (at first) that he was going to have to keep delivering episodes, and I don't think he was ready to either want and/or to do that. Fire, Walk With Me wrapped it all up pretty good, though, as far as the "who killed Laura Palmer and why" thing. But really, I never really cared who killed her. JR in the shower it coulda been for all I cared. Not what I was watching for. And in answering the question, I think he devalued the series. He shoulda just left it hanging, forever. That shit was made to hand forever, if you know what I mean, you want answers, get an encyclopedia. People who dig Jimmy Scott owe David Lynch and the series a BIG debt of gratitude. It was there that he was pulled out of waaaaay to o obscure cult status and given a normal-ish career that would last him until his death. I SO remember being transfixed by that song and that singer and just who the fuck was THAT? His big "breakout" record played off of his appearance in the Red Room, check out the floor. Not exact, but if you had been watching the show, you got the inference. also, iirc, it was Peggy Lipton who was with Quincy Jones when he had those aneurysms and nearly died, she's the one who got the doctors and ambulances on it. Given the disparity of opinion about Quincy Jones in these parts, one can either thank her or damn her for that.

Amazingly present recording quality. Would the CD sound this good?

Coleridge Perkinson/-Taylor Perkinson in the video, for sure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coleridge-Taylor_Perkinson

It was weird as fuck. But it had lots of pretty girls, and Jimmy Scott sang a song on one episode. Besides, David Lynch, you want meaning, look elsewhere. He'll give you one hella good story, but "meaning" is not necessarily gonna be part of the deal.

You guys who missed Twin Peaks...pretty intense stuff!

coulda used a light show,,,

Not at all, they do archival releases as well as live discoveries. The most recent Dodo Marmarosa things was all 78s. There was the Mingus/LA set as well. Maybe a few others I'm overlooking in the moment. The time/place of these Andrews 78s lines up perfectly with previous Uptown product, should they be so inclined and have the resources right now to do it right.

Ernie & Inez, separately or together.
-
Or Uptown.

Don't miss the Von Freemans and rhe Shirley Horns! Or the Bertha Hopes! Basically, yeah. LOTS! Johnny Dyani!

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/12/obituaries/peggy-lipton-mod-squad-dead.html I REALLY liked her in Twin Peaks.

another "not for you" DG record. wonderful music, beautiful recording, and mostly ECM-quiet vinyl. What little odd clicks there are would probably disappear with a treatment from one of those $700 Record Store Shampoo Machines, but I don't need that for this enjoyment.

Yeah, I got those OJCs (the one you mention and Basie Reunion) a few years ago and like them very much. And they are better overall. This Mighty Quinn thing thouh (originally on United Artists) was totally off may radar, and it's certainly pretty good. I'm happy that I found it before it disappeared. Is Jo Jones on any sucky records, even just one?

As have I, now. Thanks! Maybe this works now: http://www.squidco.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=1fd4ba6dc0df31ef685ecc4b229486d7&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=27400&Store_Code=S&search=giuffre&offset=&filter_cat=0&PowerSearch_Begin_Only=0&sort=&range_low=&range_high=

Are there more pictures of Carla Bley included? The way she's parting her hair in that photo is TOTALLY ruling! So wait - there is no way to order this yet? It is not yet actually released? Carla Bley's hair aside, I have a tremendous desire to hear the band.

Noticed a few days ago that was up (back up?) on the Mosaic as a Mighty Quinn Last Chance. Might still be. If so, carpe diem if so inclined, it's a swell little record! My bad, not Last Chance. Running Low: http://www.mosaicrecords.com/prodinfo.asp?number=QUINP03 And shit, no wonder this slipped me by for so long - they're calling it a "Mosaic Single" on the item page but it's not, it's a Mighty Quinn disc.So when you look for actual Mosaic Singles, you won't see any except that Ruby Braff one. ANYWAY....there it is, while it lasts.

I don't know that calling me an asshole is necessarily political or religious. It seems more like a lot of angst-y people are suddenly having an easy outlet for venting and are aggressively taking advantage of it. Looks like I'm giving an empowering voice to the otherwise powerless. And all at no charge! Y'all should thank me! And that's a good idea. We've established where Paul is, that he can be reached, that he's welcome to return at any time, no questions asked, and that I'm a dangerous asshole. Nothing more to add, thread now closed.

Yep. And for anybody with real-world experience in/and around responsible gun ownership, you do not advertise if you own a gun/guns or not. It's nobody's damn business, and it's foolhardy to either advertise yourself one way or the other. Nobody needs to know except your own self. Nobody. As it pertains to me, it is entirely possible that I support basic 2nd Amendment rights and choose not to avail myself of that particular freedom. Or maybe I do? The only way anybody will ever find out is to put themselves in the position to find out - come into my house uninvited. Well, when I'm at home, anyway. You come into an empty house, hey, nothing I can do about that. And if you're just there to take the records, my wife will probably say to let her know the next time you're coming. Now would you like to find out? I don't think so, and would hope you wouldn't. Because if you would, and if you know what the only avenue available to you to find out is, then it is you that are threatening me. And then I will have to get my gun ready. Or go out and buy one. Hell, one or the other.
