  10. oh thank u thank u too u try to have good time if u can. it might sound sick 2 u but i swear to god this last week was the best ""vacation"" i've ever had despite the circumstance- i hadn't been home in 2 years and i got to see my grandparents
  11. its 1 30 pm- just woke up- unpacked the box from my suitcase, the booklet must still be at jays. hes going to have to mail it to me. oh god. does anyone have the track info, the personel/song info online?
  12. you are all spoiled. u and your giant turkey: mmm mmm good. u should stuff your turkey with your favorite mosaic set and marinate it to a slow broil.
  13. yes jazbon we are in the same wagon here too i am not having thnxgvg because of cancer 2- and the godamn holiday is just delaying the pending test results an extra day so i am thankful for nothing
  14. back in the early 80s (pre-seinfield) kramer was in this hillarious danny diVito film: THE RATINGS GAME. it was the 1st 'made for showtime' movie, in 1984. it is the best thing danny divito ever did. it is about a little short fat italian guy (divito) who cheats the neilsen ratings system so his show is #1. to accomplish that, he has all his low-life italian mobster friends break into all the nielsen homes, and sit around watching tv all day. it is a must-see. yeah, well im not sayin it wasnt racist- he was DEFINETLY hatin', but thats what andy kaufman did too- he made fun of fat ugly chicks and pushed them to the ground.
  15. when youre chasin the dragon as hard as u are then sometimes all the heads just blend together. who cares about the head anyway, its all about birds solo
  16. that engraved wooden box- u have to jimmy it open, and its like opening a pandoras box to the 7th gateway of hell. then inside it only gets weirder: that little pressed flower in its own little enveleope, what r u supposed 2 do w/ that? r u supposed to smoke it while listening to the music? what is its significance as to, the box? there are also some photos of him as a baby in it, and also a copy of that red SLUGS poster which also shows lee morgan and the 'jazz communicators' . and or course sun ra and his asto-infinity arkestra every monday. all this set is i think is bootlegs which have been bought out and issued, right? i dont know if im ready to actually listen 2 the cds yet, i am scared
  17. if i poo-ed in a shoebox and stampted it: MILES DAVIS you guys would give it a 5 star rating. i dont give a hoot about miles or herbie hancock and the band all i care about is how sam rivers solos over the changes.
  18. then how did any blue note artist ever record for blue note records?
  19. i love this record label!!!!!!! why they so good
  20. ....specifically when comparing the g. coleman stuff- how is rivers on this. i passed up on this one today cause i thought nothing can come close to the 1960 version of this same setlist, w/ trane--- and if anything was gonna come close it was the george coleman version of the same setlist- but what about miles in tokyo? how do you guys stack it up compared to what ive already mentioned?
  21. been there, done that- they've been destroyed.
