Well, since I blew up the previous topic (completely by accident) with no hope of recovery, I figured it would be a good thing to have this topic around to fluff our feathers and suggest ideas to our beloved Mosaic Records. Do they read this? Heck, I don't know but it feels like a good place to put your ideas down and wait to see if Mosaic responds with a box set. If they do, you win (actually, we all win... even with the Bill Barron suggestion 😁). I guess I'll start with a Pacific Jazz & Cadet box of Bobby Bryant. Great trumpet player who made a small number of albums under his own name. Hey, the Ferguson box sold out relatively quickly years ago and the resale for it is through the roof. Glad I own a copy (and no, it isn't for sale) 🙃. Trumpet players like that kind of stuff and I think it would be a worthy addition to the Mosaic catalogue. So, what's your suggestion?

Oh yea, I'm sure that was the case. Probably losing sleep over it as well. Maybe Michael will be so moved that he will begin that long-awaited autobiography...

I feel so down about this. Sorry folks. I didn't mean to do it. One wonders what the appropriate music for this occurrence might be? The last part of the 1812 Overture with the cannons might be in order... BTW, I miss ALL of the Bill Barron posts already!

I'm in trouble. I blew up the group about suggesting box sets to Mosaic. I was trying to delete a message I started and was given the option to delete it... without knowing it would delete the group. Is there anyway to save it? Signed, Very Troubled.

I have different CD of this band titled, Medium Basie Swing. It's a good band with absolutely wonderful arrangements. 'Mickey's Nightmare' is a play on the Mickey Mouse Club theme done in a minor key that's so good, it'll make you giggle.

Tired of the big band stuff I've been listening to. Let's try this: Disc One.

I don't know why I've been in such a groove for 60s-70s big band but oh well...
