COLLABORATION WEST is pretty fabulous. Early experiments in modality and serial techniques with assistance from Shelly Manne, Jimmy Giuffre, Shorty Rogers, Jimmy Raney... sadly not all tracks from these two sessions appear on the OJC CD. You'll also have to get EVOLUTION, which features some good-if-not-great work by an ensemble featuring J.R. Monterose and Charles Mingus.

According to the track list uploaded to Amazon, Young appears on track 2, "Gingerbread Boy," only.
