With all the hoopla regarding the future of the board, was forgetting the pool. Washington, will make my other picks later. -

Here's a test for Larry as a mod, how would you handle Good Speak and Dan feud ? Still wanna be a mod -
By the way more than an hour after listening to this song, it's still bopping up in my head, whatever misgivings i have about it, give it high marks for catchiness.

Does this mean you don't want the the Best of Sonny & Cher?

I'd say that we have more important things on our minds right now than a freakin' avatar. This is the future of this board, no time for petty grievances.

i'm hungry for a hot dog
Van Basten II replied to alocispepraluger102's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
All dressed and steamed. Gotta say, i've not eaten one since at least last summer, not very healthy these things. -
By the way, i suggested the rule as an example of rules that could be set If we decide to make a list of do's and don't'. I'm not saying that this actual rule should definitively be included.
-
The idea of the rule is to avoid threads like we had previously where we had a member starting a thread to ask another member to take off his avatar or the one starting a thread about himself asking people to insult him.

Was able to listen to the first song here are my impressions, i intend to listen to the thing at least three times so these impressions may change . As the intro started i was expecting the worse, the tune was a little too cute for my liking, when the rest of the band joined, i enjoyed a lot more the groove of the song. Some of the riffs by the drummer were a litlle cliché. It is still fun stuff to listen, would like to hear more stuff from the group before making a definitive statement.

I always felt that this board needed little moderation, it basically takes someone who has the time to read all the threads, to see if there's something going horribly wrong. How about laying out some rules to inform what is allowed or not allowed. Per example no threads where the subject is a member of this board etc. For my part, to avoid conflict of interest i would like to see the moderators operating as mod 1, mod 2 instead of the name they are using as board members.
-
Is this board becoming like PBS, threads interrupted by members telling us to give money to run the thing. Seriously, i like the idea of giving money to keep it alive, let's see how much we can raise on the spur of the moment to figure out how long we can keep this baby alive and afterwards maybe a pledge drive with some prize on a regular basis. Maybe every 6 months or every year to keep the thing going depending on how much money we raise.

I never felt that the exchanges were that heated, i saw a lot worse from other sites. I do agree that when people start making threads about other people or themselves, it would have helped to have a moderator quickly shutting ithem down. As one of the naughty boys, i gotta say i always have some kicks about those thread but in the bigger scheme of things they're not a good thing. So, i understand the frustration. As one of the relatively new boys, i disagree with the notion that newcomers were unwelcomed. I had no problem intergrating myself to the group, here's a tip newbies, put a hot babe as an avatar , seriously i tried to respect people and take them for what they are and they did the same in return. -

It's a Wonderful Organissimo Board
Van Basten II replied to ghost of miles's topic in Forums Discussion
Is it april the first ? If it is indeed true, i am very sorry to see it go. Moderation wise i thought the board was doing fine, if that's the reason of the closing, it's was done in a way too dramatic fashion. And it would be overreacting by the administration. If it is a money thing, then that's another story but i'd like to read it from the administration instead of rumors spreading Since it's the thread to say goodbye, i enjoyed tremendously the interaction with the members of this board, there was a real notion of collectivity and helpfulness about spreading information whether it was about a recording worth checking out or tipping us regarding a sale going on. So thanks Jim and to all the members of this fine board. berenguerboxe@hotmail.com -

Patriots in their last two games are not playing like a team that is going to remain undefeated. They'll win the Super Bowl but the 0 will go. -

Anybody bought the other Potter release that came out at the same time. 10 songs for anyone with a tentet. Some good bits but not as constant as you hope it would be but still a fine record.
