Yep, you would think that after the whole Family Matters series has been out on DVD someone would work on that. Only saw some episodes, as HBO is not broadcasted here and it was not picked up on a constant basis by television here. So, i'd obviously appreciate the idea of finally be able to see it as it was made to be.

Good news we qualified bad news so did the Italian plague, it was so close the 1-1 scoreline was the best of both worlds until.... I could take it at personal level... Let me put it this way, my hate for Italians is only at the football level, the same way i enjoy seeing the Canadian National team lose in ice hockey or the US team in basketball. Nothing against the country or their countryman by themselves. Hey, i have some friends who are italians even some members of my family are that way -
No need to make a thread about that i just have to make a litlle more than 23000 posts to catch him up, should be done very soon

She's good! While you're at it, check out her husband Jimi Tenor, very interesting fellow.

No Country for Old Men-The Coen Brothers film
Van Basten II replied to HolyStitt's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Just saw the movie and the actor playing the psychopath killer is the scariest character i've seen on film in a while. He looks like a middle aged Johnny Cash with an haircut gone wrong. The movie is very strong, great storytelling and it is a thrilling flick that keeps you on the edge of our seats. For those who are squeamish about violence although there are some brutal murders depicted, there is no voyeuristic instinct that will be filled, they are mostly shown in a chirurgical fashion, well almost. The psychological violence given by the Anton character is way harder than any violence shown on screen. -

Barry Bonds quest for HR record
Van Basten II replied to Big Al's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Indictment, inschmitement....you still gotta prove it. Good luck with that. And now, you're going to see all of the evidence that he used steroids and then lied about it. I hope you're prepared, and also prepared to eat crow to all of the people here that you annoyed to no end with your nonsensical assertions. I hope you're ready to take it in the shorts when Bonds is exhonerated. Besides, I have always maintained that if Barry Bonds was proven guilty of taking steroids then I would be the first to admit it. And, even if he did, they do not make you see the ball better and they do not cause you to hit HRs. Further, if found guilty, I want a full scale investigation of any baseball player who holds a record or a place in the HOF. Otherwise, it is and was and ever will be a media lynching and federal witch hunt. ....here we go again! There is an option that allows people not seeing political thread how about a such option for this thread. Seriously the idea of conversing is to put your ideas against someone else and learn from it, this thread has stopped being that a long time ago. It's more of a pissing contest. -

Pretty cool that despite little participation the contest is as tight as it can get. -
I echo these sentiments , record companies have done that trick and after that they wonder why people prefer downloading stuff instead of buying cds

Gotta say that the guys from Gol TV are awful, especially the Scottish guy who works as an analyst, reminds me in a bad way of Bud Collins. Collins although i enjoyed his love of tennis always got on my nerves when he spoke when he was the top tennis men at NBC -
What live music are you going to see tonight?
Van Basten II replied to mikeweil's topic in Live Shows & Festivals
You will have to give a rundown of the show because I am seeing them on the 16th! In one word impressive. Probably the best show outside the jazz idiom that i attended this year. I'll tell you more later. First of all the first act was a very fine band called the Budos http://www.popmatters.com/music/reviews/b/...nd-st2005.shtml Quite frankly i already had my money's worth with this band. Now regarding the main act. Well, they started with the soul routine with the DapKings playing instrumentals and then a MC comes singing a few songs and then introduces the singer. Once she enters the scene you get yourself into a zone of non-stop grooving, funk action with a lady who is way way way way in a better physical shape than i am. The first songs however did use some gimmickery that i could live without, first song she invited a male spectator to dance with her, second song she sang about girl's attitude and invited some girls who attended the show to strut their stuff on stage. One of the girls was so drunk she went on the stage with two bottles of beer and her bag, Jones had to tell her to drop her bottles then her bag, the lady quickly went away. The third song she asked people to do the chorus. Fortunately after that things stepped up a notch, music was tighter, more intense and to watch Jones constantly dancing in a frenetic way and singing at the top of her lungs at the same time was a mighty impressive scene. I'm not familiar with her materiel so i won't do a song by song report. She, as an encore, granted us a beautiful rendition of It's a man's man's man's world -

As a boxing fan Larry Merchant is one of my favourites, one of the last breed of tell it like it is sportscasters. Still in boxing Col. Bob Sheridan especially when he is alone in a booth is supremely nnoying, does not stop talking one second. Making non sense comments, arguing with himself etc. Most other sports i watch with the soud off so i really can't comment on them. -

Exciting game between my Steelers and the Browns yesterday. However as the Browns were trying to kick a field goal to put the game into overtime. My CD player was playing Johnny Cash who was singing those lyrics Your own personal jesus Someone to hear your prayers Someone who cares Your own personal jesus Someone to hear your prayers Someone whos there The Browns and their kicker Dawson never had a chance.
