  1. There is a subplot going on regarding the Argentine"s condition, at 6-5 he asked for the trainer, and once the set over he went back to dressing room . He just came back on the court...
  2. Murray wins the second set to carry the game into a third set, they already have played more than two hours.
  3. Murray will serve to set up a second tie-break.
  4. Murray will serve to stay alive 5-4 Del Potro
  5. 4-3 second set, Murray can't handle De Potro serve.
  6. Both players were broken to start the second set. Body language wise it seems that Murray is the one struggling
  7. After a brilliant exchange that made the crowd gave a standing o to put the set into the tie-break, Del Potro has grabbed the first set !
  8. Nobody is able to threaten his opponent's serve, 6-5 Murray, del Potro will serve to go in the tiebreak
  9. Yep his inactivity is costing him the points he earned in 2008.

  11. Montreal final, Murray-del Potro, will pull for the Argentine, but think Murray will win it, in his interview del Potro seems to have caught the just happy to be there syndrom. Win or lose Murray will be number 2 in the world in the AtP rankings monday.

  16. You have coverage??? Well, I would've been watching that if I had the proper channel to watch it on!!! Del Potro won four titles last year during the US Open series, so I'm not surprised he's doing well this year too. I think the man's surface is hardcourt period. But yes, I agree with you too. Del Potro has a great shot at this grandslam title; he will give any of the top players a run for their money. The competition is held in my hometown,so tv from here broadcasts it, you are aware that by digging a bit you can find webcasts online.
  17. Sports evening, saw Del Potro add another scalp as he eliminated Roddick, will face Murray in the finals. Think the Argentine is going to be a sleeper for the US Open. Watched also two boxing cards, a bit of the PPV involving Jones Jr and Lacy but mostly the Top Rank one featuring Nonito Donaire against a quite tough Rafael Concepcion.

  20. Bob Dylan a complete unknown in New Jersey town From Deborah Brunswick CNN (CNN) -- How does it feel? To be on your own? A complete unknown? Bob Dylan might know. A police officer questioning Bob Dylan recognized his name but wasn't sure it was him. The rock legend was stopped in July by police in Long Branch, New Jersey, who were responding to a call about a suspicious person roaming the neighborhood, police said. http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Music/08/1...ref=igoogle_cnn
  21. This brings up a thought in my mind (it's in a strange place; be nice!); how many of the people on this board bemoaning the lack of popularity of jazz are stuck in the Blue Note Era themselves? I mean, if 90% of what you listen to is from the fifties and sixties, what do you care if jazz is 'dead'? You're just exhuming the corpse yourselves. Bullseye, sometimes i feel like when i was younger listening to elders saying this Gretzky guy was crap and could not wear the Gordie Howe or Maurice Richard's jock strap.

  23. Is it the collection published by Vintage? I've had a couple of copies of that edition over the last twenty years. I've been reading some classic horror stories, too, by Ambrose Bierce - the Penguin collection, Spook House: Terrifying Tales of the Macabre. I've enjoyed these so much that I ordered the Dover collection Ghost and Horror Stories of Ambrose Bierce last weekend. Fortunately, there are only three stories in common between these collections, so they are an easy and affordable way to get most - if not all - of Bierce's horror tales in good editions. I have the exact one you pictured. Among the things i discovered reading Poe, english not being my first language, was the use of the word ejaculate, as ejaculating a sentence. Not sure i'd be able to use it today... It also leads me to think that in a world wide web era where everybody can express themselves on line, they are a lot of ejaculations going on and i'm not talking about the plethora of porn sites we can find everywhere.
  24. The game has taken a sour turn after his heartbreaking loss in the first set, Nadal seems deflated, he has lost twice his serve, Del Potro is leading 3-0. Oh yeah, we had an ATP first in the competition as all top eight seeded players advanced to the quarters. But it seems that the two top seeds won't be part of the semis.
  25. Watching a great quarter final between Nadal and Del Potro taking place right now in Montreal. Del Potro just won the first set on a tie breaker. This is the first tournament for Rafa since his injury. Sooner today Federe who was also back in action after his paternity leave was eliminated in what was a very spectacular and eventful game by the Frenchman Tsonga.
