  4. We probably had our worst collective week in terms of picking winners:mellow: However it's going to be exciting for the last one as yours truly and Conn are nose to nose for the final week, by the way what are the tiebreaks if we end up with the same score at the end of the week. Other thing is there a way we can know how do we compare with other people who played in the same kind of settings ?

  7. Hey, i resent being called a geek Seriously, there's a unique thrill of watching a great show and watch all the faces of acquaintances and anonymous fans lighting up because they know they heard and saw something special. To me concert going is more about sharing an experience with fellow fans. No matter whether i interact or not with them. Listening to CDs to me at least, is more of a private and introspective experience, it's a place where i go when i want to forget about the rest of the world, it's more like a private island where nobody is invited.

  16. I know it's not all jam all the time, but it's still the main core of the set and like i said it can still be much at times. Bought all les Trésors du jazz that have been out so far and the pieces that i have the less interest were the JATP stuff included. Bought the set when i started having interest in jazz and dough to spend, it was educational but if ypu ask me at the present time, it is not the music i'm digging the most right now. To repeat myself, if you enjoy that stuff a this kind of setting, it is probably a must, once again think that Stereojack said it best.

  18. Glad to have it, but it is far from being my favourite, rarely feel the need to listen to it, a little bit overrated in my book. As Stereojack mentions you have to really enjoy all star jams to dig it and it seems that i'm not that much a fan of that format.
  19. Interesting stuff but the 80s arrangements still hurts a lot of pieces.

  23. Finished my boxing evening watching a fight that occured sooner today, in fact the fight was more a freak show as the principals were Nicolai Valuev a giant of 7' weighting 310 pounds with a lot of body hair facing Evander Holyfield, yeah he is still fighting despite being slightly younger than Dave Brubeck. Fight was horrible, Valuev did nothing while the Real Deal barely did just enough, however the judges saw otherwise and it was a travesty of a decision gave a majority win to the hapless giant. Here's a picture of the winner, parents should ask their children to stay away from the computer before scrolling down to watch it.
  24. Strange things are happening. About 1 minutes ago we decided to watch Transsiberian via instant Netflix. Well for my part, i won't watch anything with a trans... tonight
