After an extraordinary evening of boxing, it was futbol who took over my telly, and i saw the sport at its best with Atletico Madrid coming back from behind twice to beat Barcelona 4-3. The big lead that the Catalan club had is quickly dissapearing.

cd storage for large collections
Van Basten II replied to tranemonk's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
I guess that's kinda what I had in mind. My main concern is thtat the plastic sleeves fit in those monsters, so I guess I'm ok. Do you have one of those Can-Am storage systems? If you do, what are your thoughts? Yes i do, i think they're great except the price, the only thing i don't like about is the separator that is used to keep the cds tight together is made in cheap plasctic, wish they'd made it in metal , it would be more firm, they'd do a better job that way. But overall i'm proud of having it. Of all the kits i ever owned to store cds it's by a landslide the best. -

cd storage for large collections

They do fit but in a weird way the fact that in some cases you have to keep the original sleeves, like the ones made by the label Act, helps visually to figure out where you're at, because the spines will at times be hard to read. You're out of luck if you want to visualize better your collection unless you want to build yourself separators with artists names like you see in cd store -

Just watched a tremendous doubleheader of boxing with a high level quality fight between featherweights Chris John and Rocky Juarez and to top it off what is going down as a classic for generations of boxing fans to come, a brutal and spectacular war between Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz for the supremacy at the lightweight division. I on purpose not putting any results to spoil the fun to watch these fights, find a way to see these fights, you won't regret it.

Saw last night the SF Jazz Collective which as good as an all star pack group as you're going to get nowadays. Rene Rosnes, Eric Harland, Robin Eubanks, Miguel Zenon, Joe Lovano , Dave Douglas and the lesser known member to me at least Matt Penman. Not sure if Stefon Harris is still part of the group one thing for sure, he was not present last night. The show was done at the horrible Metropolis, good acoustics were of course out of question, the ass sounded awful throughout the night, this was their first gig of a new tour and between some originals they celebrated McCoy Tyner's music. Strong and very interesting arrangements that go beyond the usual self congratulory pattern that this kind of lineup sometimes brings also enjoyed the emphasis on collective music instead of the typical series of overwrought solos. Wish it had lasted a little longer though, only 90 minutes, for 45 $, the promoters could have at least brought another band to play a set. There was a cd set with 3 disks in it, didn't have the dough on me, was quite expansive 45 $ though. Before i go searching for it, anybody can vouch for it -

Joe Public was in the same group than our team in the first round. After we beat them 2-0 at home, their manager was quoted saying that our team was rather poor and that they would beat us 4-0 when they'll play us next time , we actually won the away game 4-1 , Joe Public won 1 game in all and lost 5. Here's a web site that will allow to know what is going on http://www.concacaf.com/competitions/champsleague/index.aspx -

Had a quite thrilling evening , last night as i attended in company of more than 55 000 screaming fans a game between my Montreal Impact and Santos Laguna a Mexican team for the first leg of the quarter finals of the Concacaf Champions League. i know that for some of the Mexican team they don't take the competetion thast seriously but for us it's a big deal. For starters we are playing in A league a championshipthat is basically a minor league for the MLs which is not a very strong league itself. To add insult to injury the MLS have rfeused to allow Montreal a franchise asking for a ridiculous fee, around 40 millions. Guess we have the last laugh as other franchises don't attract these kind of crowd, as for the game that's the best part we won 2-0, which means that our opponents will have to beat us 3-0 in their home or something along that score , we can't be overconfident but we have to be positive and think we can pull another upset and move to the semis. http://goal.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/02/26/a...treal/#more-993 -

Canada must be the only country in the world where Champions League action gets preempted in favour of Women's curling -
Just watched a dramatic boxing fight that occured this weekend in Italy involving Sven Paris and Krzystof Bienas, the local fighter was doing well on my card but for whatever reason he hit a wall around the seventh round got knocked in the 8th round but finished on shakey legs and the festive atmosphery in the arena turned into a chilling silence. After 8th round with the pleas of what seems his girlfriend or his wife he elected to quit on his stool

I actually saw the documentary that won the award. Man on a wire is quite a good film with an interesting character as you could see from the way he behaved on stage.

Watched Deportivo-Valencia, scrappy game with a few temper tantrums. Ended up a 1-1 tie.
