It's funny you mention that -- the exact same thing happened to me yesterday with my selection of the month. I got an empty box that was open. Guy

I don't have a comprehensive ECM collection but these are my favorites: Charles Lloyd, Canto Charles Lloyd, Voice in the Night Paul Motian, Tribute Paul Motian, I Have the Room Above Her Jack DeJohnette, Special Edition Keith Jarrett, The Cure (but the best Keith is on Impulse!) Keith Jarrett, Blue Note box disc 3 Abercrombie/Holland/DeJohnette, Gateway Dave Holland, Conference of the Birds Chick Corea, Return to Forever

Right now it looks like we are heading toward an eastern conference rematch between the Pistons and Heat, with Chicago as a dark horse. The Bulls are really picking up steam. My prediction on November 1st was: Guy

I was googling them online and found the following album review. It seems like the writer has an imperfect grasp of English (or even used google's translate tool) but is amusing nonetheless.

If I was LeBron, I would too. Aside from him the team pretty much sucks. Guy

I'm really digging this global warming thing! It's been in the 40s most of December and shows no sign of abating. Guy

What are these guys all doing in northern North America? Guy

I remember that -- it was really odd. I assume Kinsey was the one triggering it. That was my perspective as well, aside from occasional wooshing sounds -- perhaps he was underutilized, though a DJ is one of those things where too much is a lot worse than too little. Guy -

I need to get me more Big John Patton! Guy -
I have three of this group's albums -- the two Black Saints and the self-titled ECM. I have to admit I find them somewhat disappointing. I like the ECM the best -- it has the terrific cover of "Lonely Woman", along with two fantastic originals ("Togo" and "Guinea") -- but it peters out in the second half. Anyway, in general it seems to me like these guys sounded better when they were playing with Ornette; the main exception is Blackwell, who is fantastic on all three of these discs. Guy

So what? Guy

I vote against DVDs -- I can't watch them while I'm driving in my car or working on a project. Guy

Woohoo! The Warriors finally win a road game! Hopefully the next victory won't take so long. Guy

I can't see any good coming out of this. I disagree. If Iverson can learn to play with others, then Denver becomes a very strong team (but not strong enough to beat the big 3 in the west). Obviously if he hogs the ball then this will not have a good end. Philly gains the advantage of blowing up and starting from scratch -- definitely a better situation than their current one. Andre Miller isn't exactly chump change either. Guy

Same here. But I also haven't encountered many versions that didn't feature Wayne. Guy

Good to hear about Anthony's long suspension -- hopefully the Warriors will be able to take advantage. (Unlikely.) 60 from Gilbert? Very impressive, though it's telling that Washington is only a middle-of-the-pack team. Guy

Sorry dude, I disagree. I guess I can understand their annoyance, but it's not a legit gripe. Guy

How stupid. Guy -
I sort of feel the same -- it would be a lot of fun if they cut loose a little more. As it is, the best parts of the album are when they get into those vamps and jam on top of them. I picked up this album when I was starting to explore jazz back in college. I had discovered Shakti and was looking for similar music. I'm not familiar with any of Oregon's other music. Guy

Then I think you might like them. At one time, they had a keyboardist named "Seaweed". Guy

I'm very pleased with the outcome of this fight. The multigame suspensions will harm the Nuggets and improve the Warriors' playoff chances. Guy

I just got through listening to Erpland for the first time in a long time. Fantastic album! Highly recommended to anyone who is interested in fusiony, ethnic-influenced space rock. "Eternal Wheel" baby! Guy

I was somewhat disappointed with 5 in comparison to 3 and 4 which is probably why I've avoided 6. But perhaps it's time for me to re-evaluate 5. Guy
