  1. The player piano rolls can only be obtained through auction. Bring your Visa.
  2. I’ve never done sugar on a tomato, but it is an absolute must in homemade spaghetti sauce, so I can see it.
  3. We actually do grow our own peppers. Just filled one of our 4x4 garden boxes with a bunch of them a couple of weekends ago. Chili, Habanero, Cayenne, Jalapeno, and one labeled as a Tobasco pepper. We usually use them for cooking or making salsa, but this year we’re going to try our hand at making our own hot sauce. One of our cupboards looks like a hot sauce grocery store. Everything from run of the mill Frank’s to 357 Ghost Pepper which has the potential to destroy your life if you go one drop too far. One of the finest, and I mean finest, treats you could ever have is dry roasted peanuts and regular M&M’s mixed together in a bowl. Try that and tell me it isn’t a wonderful thing.
  4. You don’t have to have salt to taste anything. It’s a spice, and spices are used to enhance. But i’ve always been a huge salt and hot sauce type. I put hot sauce on everything but pancakes, essentially. I love spiciness!
  5. If I had no tastebuds, I wouldn't bother. But since I do, yes, salted. There is no other way to properly eat watermelon.
  6. That's where I read it!!!
  7. It’s not snark, it was just a response that it pains you to face the reality that even Mosaic would eventually run out of new ways to package material that is already 50-70 years old. It’s a rather common theme here, not just you.
  8. There’s always...new music.
  9. All good points. My only thought is there is a fine line somewhere between saving money by keeping iventory low, vs saving money by printing in bulk. I’ve never run a company like that, so I have no idea how easy or difficult that balance may be to find. Perhaps Chuck can expand on that?
  10. Speaking of Doritos, did you know they were originally created at Disneyland?
  11. And that’s an unfortunate truth many don’t realize. The coastline already lost, along with homes, since I was a kid would make for a fine slow-motion horror movie.
  12. Hard to argue with NASA, but the major cities and towns along the Gulf Coast where I lived are as follows: Bradenton - 6' Sarasota - 16' Englewood - 10' North Port - 10' Port Charlotte (home town) - 7' Punta Gorda (hometown) - 6' Cape Coral - 5' Fort Myers Beach - 3' Fort Myers - 10' Naples - 3'
  13. I now see Houston has elevations of 50-125ft. I didn’t think it’d be anywhere near that high. So yeah, definitely no water table issue there. My old hometown in Florida had parts that actually sat below sea level.
  14. Houston has their underground tunnel system, and they’ve got to be pretty damned close to the water table. Couldn’t have them in Florida unless you wanted an underground swimming pool.
  15. I think those of us that grew up with albums will always refer to them as such. My guess is those who didn't have never, and will never refer to them as such. More generational detritus. Anyone feeling old yet?
  16. Either that, or he’s simply highlighting his inability to focus and pay attention, which the medical industry now refers to as ADD. It’s an extremely absurd comment not matter how you try to dress it up.
  17. Yeah, as I said, I concede the point. I’m sure you’re right. Those few I know that mostly listen to albums are all at least my age (47) or older. I’m perfectly content with being out of touch. A trend I’ve noticed, especially with newer artists, is that they tend to release 4-5 song EPs these days, so they seem to have proactively taken your advice.
  18. Absolutely. I personally never use it, but I can see it's usefulness.
  19. I’ve never used Spotify and have no idea how to make a playlist on Apple Music, so maybe it’s just me and my ignorance at work. So I’ll concede the point. I’ll listen to a playlist every now and then, it’s mostly full albums for this boy.
  20. It's really no different than buying a greatest hits comp. I guess it could be a generational thing, but myself and the few others I know that stream all listen to full albums at least 95% of the time. Also, Pandora plays a bunch of artists similar to the one you initially choose. So that's really a whole different animal.
  21. Odd,that you’d think that. Streaming an entire album is far easier. Creating customized playlists on streaming platforms is almost as big a pain in the ass as dojng the same using physical media.
