Perhaps they underestimated how popular it would be? Still kind of crappy they sold it at that price. I know when I got my stereo box, the complete studio mono box was something like $10 more at the time. Which I also thought was kind of crappy. I guess the FLAC USB was the only thing that remained a limited edition.

Listening to Bobby Hutcherson stealing the show once again.

Let's talk about The great prolific composer, Anonymous

Yeah, if Dylan wrote that song, he must have been a time traveller since the song is older than New Orleans, which is far older than Dylan... -

Anonymous also has some of he greatest sayings of all time. -
Hmmm...the one we have is only a couple of years old, but I guess it's worth a shot. It's kind of confusing because we can stream HD movies instantly, and all three of us can watch Netflix/YouTube on our individual iPads simultaneously without issue. I'm at least a couple of updates behind on my iPad, so I think I'll restore and update it this afternoon to see if that takes care of the issue first.

Well, that experiment never got off the ground. Come to find out you have to have an Apple TV 4th gen in order to stream directly through the Apple TV app...

Hmmmm... I wonder if my issue is from using my phone/tablet to Bluetooth the stream to Apple TV? Too many items in the chain. I think I'll experiment with accessing it straight through the Apple TV app and see if that clears it up. That way it will strictly be over wi-fi. What speed is your internet? I doubt that's my problem, just want to exhaust all options.

I have to admit that I'm shocked that people still buy into the 24/96 thing. Do any of you experience the occasional hiccup or "skip" when streaming? I'm trying to figure out if it's my internet connection (although I stream movies with no issues), or if it's something that inherent to music streaming services.

Has the bottom fallen out of the Mosaic market?

For example: 1 2 3 3 2 1 1 2 3 It's a draft that snakes back and forth. -
I've watched Fed Ex packages do the same thing here. One day they'll be in Kansas City, the next day they'll be in Earth City, which is next to St. Louis. We live right in the middle of Missouri between both of those cities! So it started out two hours west of here, and ended up two hours east of here! Bizarre...

Ah, OK. I definitely get that! Kudos to you for how you are raising your son.

Fair enough. Let's start with, is it truly any different?

I disagree, this will indeed be a dumb question: If you're streaming via Airport/Apple TV, this particular item adds no enhancements, correct? One off the reasons I ask is that I've been looking at network audio players wondering if they'll accomplish anything more than my current setup of iMac with iTunes library streaming to my Apple TV and into my main system. So far my research isn't showing any benefits of one over the other. But I'm really just not familiar with the "NAS" things. Is my current setup essentially the same thing? *edit* Also, I can do Apple Music through the Apple TV directly, and/or through my phone/pad via Bluetooth to the ATV unit.

I'm intercepted in the answer, too. I do a search on both and all I find are essentially printed circuit boards with ports connected to them. ???

Listening to this classic for the very first time. How bizarre is that?! Brilliant album. And I usually don't care or electric guitar in Jazz.

Hahaha...jewel cases can indeed be maddening. Although I had zero issue with my Benedetti set. But, I will take jewel cases all day long over the cardboard sleeves some companies started using. Sometimes those things would be so tight I swore I was going to have to extricate the disc by employing a pair of scissors!

Charlie Parker - Dean Benedetti Mosaic
Scott Dolan replied to EKE BBB's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
Well, I have to say that keeping my expectations low concerning the sound quality of this set must have really worked wonders, because while a track every now and then might be a bit noisy (All The Things You Are from disc one is particularly bad), I'm finding the overall sound quality to be FAR better than I was expecting! I'm loving this set as much, or even more than I thought I would. -
http://www.techradar.com/news/home-cinema/home-theatre-audio/home-cinema-audio/audio/hi-fi-radio/hi-fi-boss-slams-rip-off-industry-162930 I've said for many years that more expensive doesn't necessarily equate to better sounding. I just wish this cat would name names.
