  1. Send a picture wearing your shirt- and see where they've been!
  2. I attended the 1993 World Series in Philly and the ticket was $65.00 for the 600 level right-center field. My memory of ML baseball when I was a kid was the organ music of Paul Richardson at the Vet, the dancing fountains in center field, and Phil and Phyllis in the 500 level in the OF. Circa 1973.
  3. World F----- Champions Well that's nice......
  4. What does WFC stand for?
  5. From Wikipedia: In a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 20, 1992, he turned an unassisted triple play. In the sixth inning, Morandini caught a line drive off of the bat of Jeff King, touched second base to force out Andy Van Slyke, and tagged out Barry Bonds coming from first base; the Pirates went on to win the game, 3–2, in extra innings.[it was the first unassisted triple play since 1968, and the first in the National League since 1927. Morandini was also the first second baseman in National League history, and the first in the regular season, to turn an unassisted triple play; all previous occurrences were made by first basemen or shortstops. The only other second baseman to achieve the feat prior was Bill Wambsganss, who turned a triple play in the 1920 World Series. I remember Harry Kalas calling it- he was beside himself! Randy Ready could have had an unassisted triple play but he flipped to the 1B to get the 3rd out, even though the runner was 5 feet from him and he could have tagged him. That happened around 1990?? I don't recall.
  6. I remember Mickey Morandini making one for the Phils- and Randy Ready had almost a triple play for the Phils as well.
  7. That's a very large stadium and amazing how big it is! Didn't know the punters hit it.
  8. I enjoy it also. I wish there was more unreleased Sinatra coming out- I guess the NYC Reprise Box is a start. I enjoy the radio shows he did in the 40s.
  9. Until he throws those 4th quarter interceptions that kill the drives......I have some friends who are Jets season ticket holders and they couldn't wait until he got out of town- he took the Jets out of the playoffs.
  10. I pitched from Little League through college and pitched adult baseball for 9 years- and I never threw at someone to intentionally hurt them. I threw at people to make a statement and always aimed below the shoulders. I was thrown at also because I previously hit someone- that's one reason I don't like the DH- eventually you'll have to bat as a pitcher. Throwing at someone's head is the worst you can do- actually behind their head because their first reaction is to move away from the plate- and into the flight path of the pitched ball.
  11. Wish they had the Dylan Box Set, Santana Legacy albums and Chicago CDs
  12. Pats look good again.... I'll get the Organissimo picks website all cleaned up and ready this weekend so invites can be sent a few weeks beforehand.
  13. Vick belongs on the Cowboys- where players go for second chances.
  14. WHAT are they doing signing Ron Mexico???? I am so mad at that....stupid move by the Eagles....the guy's been an arrogant A-hole ever since he joined the league...and a mediocre QB.....better double the PR budget this year......I'm going to stowe all of my Eagle gear in a closet until he's gone......I thought they learned their lesson after T.O. I hope they lose every game....man, I'm pissed.
  15. Deer jumped our 6 foot high wire fence and ate our green beans....what do people use to keep deer out of their garden?
  16. Chuck- that's very impressive!! My wife is jealous!! Something ate our green beans last night..... Our beekeeping endeavor started as an off-shoot of gardening. Now I'm heavy into it- and my wife does our gardening.
  17. Wow- nice haul!! What else are you growing? We have one- but have a terrible deer problem- they eat everything. We finally put up 6 ft poles with wire strung across it with lime green ribbons- they are keeping the deer away. We have tomatoes, watermelon, green beans, and cool weather crops will be going in another month.
  18. I ignore the negativity (lots of) and concentrate on the positive (lots of also)......you'll seperate the wheat from the chaff.
  19. A lot of the steroid issues I hear are just opinions- and I wish people would remember that.
  20. My three favorites are the HRS, Capitol Jazz and the O'Day- and the Cole- ok- four....
  21. Cool....thanks for the info 7/4!!
  22. Dan needs a talk show.
  23. Correct!!! I always loved McCloud riding a horse down a busy street..... I haven't enjoyed a thread like this in a LONG time!! My wife and I are playing these clips and reminiscing!
  24. I'm out of the loop- are all the Woodstock performances being released seperately?
  25. Wow- that's sad....I recall he couldn't stand anymore on the sidelines during the playoffs. Sean McDermott played football at William & Mary- Darren Sharper was one safety- Sean was the other. It was CAA Media Day today and I heard Jimmye Laycock (coach at W&M) speak about Sean McDermott- he coached him then hired as an assistant after he graduated. Jimmye had nothing but high praise about Sean- how he was a hard worker and very smart and thinks he will do well. No one will replaced Jim Johnson- but I trust Andy Reid and Sean is a protege of Jim Johnson so I have high hopes.
