The first time I saw Melinda Clarke was in this...well...it's definitely not a gem...but she's hot.

Alan Dale (Charles Widmore on LOST) is also a regular cast member.

The O.C. (2003 - 2007) Frothy, self-aware soap opera nonsense with an above-average cast. The tone is similar to Veronica Mars which came out the following year. Trivia: I'm almost finished with season 1 and I find it amusing that the only scenes actually filmed in Orange County are second-unit helicopter shots, everything else is filmed around Malibu, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Manhattan Beach and Brentwood...all firmly within L.A. county.

I dig the perspective on this one.

That shot was taken from a little bluff near the Observatory. Getting to Mulholland is a little more difficult for me because I don't own a car. I love going to the Hollywood Bowl overlook but it's quite a steep hike.

I sold my entire jazz collection during the great recession. It hurt for awhile, but honestly I've barely thought about it for the past few years. I still have some core items in my digital collection and what I don't have can easily be found on Spotify or Youtube to satisfy cravings. I doubt I will ever bother building up a physical collection (of anything) again.

Currently watching 3 different series, alternating episodes to keep things interesting. Les Revenants (The Returned) - Season 2. Just as wonderfully moody as the first series. Daredevil - Season 2. Elementary - Season 4. Just started the current season (via the CBS streaming site) and loving the addition of John Noble as Sherlock's father.

R.I.P. I will admit that I never found him even remotely funny, but still too young to go.

Holzman is playing excellent music in Steven Wilson's band, easily one of the finest rock bands on the planet at this juncture.

Bosch - season 2 on Amazon Prime streaming. The second season featuring Michael Connelly's L.A. detective Harry "Hieronymus" Bosch took the promise of season 1 and delivered on it. An excellent 10 episode series perfect for binge-watching. Titus Welliver and Lance Reddick put in note-perfect performances and Jeri Ryan is an entertaining femme fatale this season. Highly recommended.

Yes, he was the executive producer and he also owns one of the original Enigma machines which they used in the film.

It's already on Netflix. It was good, although it did feel like an incredibly calculated "prestige picture". I actually prefer the highly-fictionalized film "Enigma" from 2001, sure, it takes a lot of liberties with the story but I think it's a more successful film.
