  1. A couple performances on Swedish TV. "Pyre" (one of the bonus tracks) and Nepenthe from Heritage. (both slightly shortened versions)
  2. Fringe: Season 4 I must admit I feel like I missed something somewhere along the line, but oh well, I'm still enjoying the ride. I liked the tone of this first episode. I'm also finally getting around to Damages Season 3.
  3. The Raiders won a good game today as well. For the first time in eons they seem to be playing with some purpose, fun team to watch.
  4. X-Men First Class - Very enjoyable film, total popcorn movie. The relationship between Xavier and Rose Byrne's character should have been explored further...and they could have lessened the plot thread about the serum to make themselves appear normal. But all in all I liked it.
  5. I love that cover. Mikael says in the video "when you guys fuck off after the show, we're going to take pictures down in those seats just like Deep Purple did."
  6. The album takes several spins just to sink in, it's very dense. I love it, they do whatever the hell they want, that's all I can ask for in this day and age.
  7. I'm doing well! The new job and apartment are fine, I love L.A.

  8. I have no TV service whatsoever anymore, I just use the broadcast HD channels that come in over the antenna. I have internet through Time Warner for $29.99 per month and my cell phone bill is around $40 per month, entertainment comes from Netflix for $7.99. At the moment that's good enough...there are many things to do outside of the apartment.
  9. I'm glad I'm not that picky.
  10. It definitely ain't Buffy. Tis a shame.
  11. Thought that was pretty lame to be honest. We'll see what it's like without Wayens, Jr. I think about 95% of TV shows are lame, this is one of the few that didn't illicit that response.
  12. Nicely done! Zooey is indeed adorable and the show has a nice laid-back vibe.
  13. They are really cool guys as well. I met the band in Savannah Georgia in the late 80's (at an after show party) and then later bumped into Peter Buck in Seattle...we were both waiting in line for burgers at Dick's Drive-In on Capitol Hill. They were very down to earth and friendly both times. My favorite R.E.M. song is one of the earliest..."Gardening At Night". Another forgotten gem is "Odd-fellow's Local 151".
  14. I'm a fan up through "New Adventures In Hi-Fi" but lost track after that. Saw them live on the Green tour and they put on an amazing show. I have nothing but respect for them, they spent their career doing exactly whatever they wanted and were successful at it. I can't begrudge that.
  15. I love Lucifer's Friend. Fantastic stuff and defies basically all categories since they change styles on almost every album. When you are a "studio-only" band, you can do things like that. Rainbow? Are you saying that Uriah Heep was a blueprint for Richie Blackmore? I am not sure he would agree with that. Blackmore's writing style changed once Rainbow started, the style he moved into is similar to what Heep was doing a few years earlier. Going from writing for Ian Gillan to writing for Ronnie James Dio probably had something to do with that as well.
  16. 64 degrees, the air feels wet, but it won't rain because it's SoCal.
  17. Yeah, I wasn't crazy about it either. The direction of the pilot was very amateurish, I'll give one more episode a shot and then will probably bail on it.
  18. I definitely am interested in checking that out. The remake of "The Killer Elite" looks entertaining as well.
  19. I'll be picking up a copy on payday, I'm planning on getting the deluxe edition with the DVD because it contains rehearsals and a couple bonus tracks.
  20. Very funny and surprisingly honest film, recommended.
