  1. I had the wonderful opportunity to be in the studio with Teri during the recording of I'LL BE EASY TO FIND. I was working for her producer/manager at the time. It will always be a very special record for me. Check the liners, kids, and you'll see my first credit. Production Assistant. Sounds exciting, but it really means that I went and picked up the take-out chinese food. Seriously, it was a great session. My favorite tune on the record is Nature Boy. Seeing that come together was incredible. The horns are actually overdubbed. It was a trio performance live in the studio. I think I may have some outtakes somewhere on a cassette.
  2. I actually built myself a PC recently and have been using Windows for the first time in years. My old PowerBook would choke on OS X, so I gave up. I plan on installing FreeBSD or Linux on a separate partition and jumping back into the UNIX fold again.

Very funny! I posted it in the 'What are you listening to' thread at another forum.... Should get a rise out of someone
  5. I received mine yesterday as well. Ordered it on the 20th. Pretty darn quick I say!Haven't given it a spin yet. What's up with the tiny cursive font they use? VERY hard to read.... I'm gettin' old.
  6. Hey Joe G, I was at that Bungle show at St. Andrews back in '91 too. Crazy shit, but a lot of fun.
  7. Thank you for that Mike!
  8. Speakeasy is back. Be sure to refresh your browser! :rsmile:
  9. Not sure what happened. I didn't see any spamming this morning and I was checking in quite frequently. They must have jumped on it pretty quick...
  10. I tried, but I couldn't get my avatar down to half speed....
  11. Well, I finished my first Flash avatar! I have to work on the quality a bit, but it's tough keeping the file size down as well.
  12. UNIX for Mac OS X
  13. Boney Gumbo DuPree I'll go by B.G. Dupree. It has a better ring to it. __________ GO PISTONS!
  14. Hey, it's a lot better than an avatar I saw on a different BBS. Someone took a close-up picture of their injured, bloody big toe and made it their avatar. Blecch! :rsmile:
  15. Oh Shit! Maybe I shouldn't move back to lansing after all....
  16. I think this is a problem since Mac's use 72 pixels per inch by default and PC's use 96 pixels per inch. I believe there is a setting so you can adjust it. Also, since you are still running OS 9, try iCab. It's a small but powerful little browser. It doesn't do javascript perfectly, but it renders most pages very well and is customizable. http://www.icab.de/dl.php
  17. ...and so did you! Talk about service! ...plus..now i'm a 'Member!' 90 to go until Grover status! {edit} make that GROOVER! although I like Grover too.
  18. I answered my own question... Cool! This is going to be fun!
  19. I Agree, Flash is very cool. I doubt it's possible, but can we use flash for our avatars? It might involve some weird embed tags. I know you can export from flash to animated gif, but the results dont look as good.
  20. Thanks B3-er! Now I can upload a picture of me with a big turkey in 1969.
  21. Hey! I have a great avatar here if Jazz Kitten decides to become a member!
  22. My favorite is the Club Baby Grand date: The version of Caravan here gives me goose bumps.
  23. No on the vinyl, but if you need to hear it, I have an mp3 copy.
  24. Thanks! Could you also bump up the default avatar size to 100 x 100 pixels? I have some interesting avatars that are a little bigger than 60 x 60. [edit] ah...no problem. It would be a bit of a pain to set that up. I can host it on my mac.com account when I get home.
  25. Hey, I tried uploading my avatar, but I keep getting a board error. FYI...
