  1. Funk Joe Crawford! :bwallace2: :bwallace2: :bwallace2:
  2. Get out of here, Nebulon! No one likes your style.
  3. I'm an H*R junkie. My soon to be 3-year-old knows all kind of lines, including "Here Comes The Thnikkaman!" There is so much stuff on the web, it would take months to view it all. Does anyone have the sbemail DVD set? I'm almost ready to order it. So Good!
  4. I don't think that the 15 Gb available is right. If you have an older mac, the entire hard drive isn't that big. What is the model of your macintosh? Could you free up any space by deleting some files?
  5. Try to drag and drop the compressed mozilla application file onto the stuffit application. Perhaps you already have a stuffit application there in your applications or utilities folder?
  6. That's a blind spot for me in my Miles knowledge. Are any of the recordings available individually?
  7. I swear to god, as soon as I hit 'add reply' my wife called to let me know that my 3-year-old son just pooped on the potty for the first time!
  8. Don't forget this classic set! Les McCann & Eddie Harris - Swiss Movement Not to be confused with this Swiss Movement:
  9. I can't speak for all of the records you mention, but Bobby Hutcherson - Live at Montreux is a fantastic set. Woody Shaw is great!
  10. Did Horry diss us?
  11. It bums me out, but you have to smile a little when you see this pic from the cover of the free press. The fan reactions are great.
  12. The Squeezebox now decodes FLAC on the fly. Get a big ass hard drive, a wireless card, and one of these babies, and you're set! http://www.slimdevices.com/
  13. I think one of the reasons that some people may prefer Footprints Live! to this new disc is that the new CD doesn't feature many well known Shorter compositions. Footprints Live is almost entirely classic shorter tunes. I still like both discs very much. I don't quite agree with the 'noodling' tag. Wayne really has become a master at deconstructing a tune. His playing has definitely changed in recent years. Perhaps it's more cerebral, and at the same time, very skeletal if that makes any sense. It's a great disc.
  14. I found this preview on some file sharing network. PREVIEW!!!
  15. How about Stevie Wonder playing the national anthem on harmonica!
  16. Tsunami warning has been cancelled.

  18. Our local news said it was 80 miles off the coast of Northern California. Tsunami warnings are in effect.
  19. I knew that I couldn't have been the first one to catch that! I guess my searching skills leave something to be desired. Thanks Tom!
  20. I did a search here, but couldn't find anything. Is Cascade from Passing Ships the same composition as Without Malice from the Mosaic Select? They have the same head. Cascade is a little slower, but they sound like the same tune to these ears.
  21. You need Stuffit Expander version 4.5 or higher to be able to unstuff or decode the mozilla .bin file. Do you have stuffit on the machine? If not, go to this page, enter your info... http://www.stuffit.com/mac/standard/updates.html ...and download version 7.0.3 for Mac OS 8.6
  22. Blues Clues is a Dye household favorite. I've been diggin the Monk bits for a while. Have any of you see The Backyardigans? Evan Lurie does the music and it's GREAT. One episode was coppin Ella's A Tisket A Tasket and some others have some CRAZY horn arrangements. THREE PRESENTS FOR THE SPHINX I love the introduction to this tune!
  23. Hope you had a great day, KB! Happy Birthday! I first remember seeing your name while browsing rec.music.bluenote. That was 10 years ago!
  24. There was a bonus track on the Alice Coltrane???!!! Arrrggghhhhh!
