That's good to know, Jim! I haven't had a computer with OS9 for a while, but I do remember liking iCab at the time, hence the recommendation. I'm glad Mozilla is working well for you.
-
Happy Birthday, Bertrand! I hope you get to listen to the Carnegie Hall Monk/Coltrane tape tomorrow!
-
Are you using OS 9? If so, I recommend trying the browser iCab. http://www.icab.de/news.html There is a link to the new public beta version 3.0. You could also try version 2.9.8 Make sure you choose the version for OS 9.

Your hunch was correct, Bertrand. It is the Tenor solo that was edited on the old CD. The remaster restores the first chorus. THINK OF ONE (ORIGINAL 1993 CD ISSUE) THINK OF ONE (2003 REMASTER) Here are a couple of low quality MP3's so you can hear the difference. FIRST CHORUS ...and here is the first chorus of Rouse's solo.

Air Chaunceys? PIMP THESE KICKS: Create custom shoes for the Detroit Pistons as they go to work on another championship BY JOE GUY COLLIER FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER June 8, 2005 'Sheed needs a new pair of shoes. Big Ben, Rip and the rest of the crew are going to work in the NBA Finals for the second straight year. This is your chance, Pistons fans, to design a pair of kicks worthy of the defending champs. Use the outline provided on this page in any way you like -- color it in, paint it, plaster it, use it to make a 3-D sculpture. The hotter, the better. Download The Graphic Your custom kicks will be featured in an upcoming Free Press story, and the top three sneaker designers will be awarded $150 each to buy a new pair of shoes. E-mail designs to features@freepress.com; "Kicks Contest" should appear in the subject field. All digital files must be in JPEG or PDF format; an electronic version (PDF) of the shoe outline is available at www.freep.com. Entries may also be mailed to the Detroit Free Press, c/o Kicks Contest, 600 W. Fort Street, Detroit 48226. All design entries must include your name, complete address, daytime and evening phone numbers, and a snapshot of the shoe's designer. Entries must be received by 6 p.m. June 14. As NBA Finals begin, all eyes are on the shoes Chuck Taylors, Air Jordans, shell-toe Adidas. Sneakers aren't just for hoops. They're a statement about attitude and style. Michael Jordan's vertical leap made him a great dunker. With Nike's Air Jordans, he became an icon. More than any other sport, basketball and its shoes have become a part of pop culture. People don't wear canvas Converse All Stars any more to play basketball. They wear them to stand out. With the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs starting the NBA Finals Thursday night, basketball and its shoes will once again take center stage. Youngsters around the world won't be watching just to see who makes the winning shot. They'll be watching to see what he's wearing as he walk off the court. Copyright © 2005 Detroit Free Press Inc.

Been a while since I posted in 'The Rat' Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Orchestra - ONJO doubtmusic 102 I happened to download a copy of this (bad, bad! ) just to satisfy my curiosity. I had seen Yoshihide's name listed in a number of posts here and at Jazz Corner. I absolutely love this CD. I'm going to have to order it from Jon soon. It has a wonderful mix of varied styles and sounds. Very new and fresh to these ears.

Thanks, Pete! I used to have the laserdisc set and have been hoping for a DVD version for years. -

Awesome! I was hoping you'd be doing a summer tour of northern Michigan again.
-
Are you guys playing anywhere between July 3rd and July 10th? I'm going to be in Michigan and was hoping I could finally catch you guys live.

Have you tried Photoshop Elements? It's the new scaled down version of Photoshop.. http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelwin/main.html You can download a free trial for 30 days. I'll bet you could get an academic version for one of your daughters for less than 50 bucks.

Ugh. I'm never getting suckered in by American Idol again. That has to rank as one of the worst moments i've ever seen on television. Kenny G with Anthony and Anwar? I feel so dirty. Like Rupert Murdoch just f'd us all up the ass.

Well, thanks so much for all your hard work! Your dedication to our community is wonderful! I noticed something very cool. When someone is posting in a thread, their name is italicized!

Everything seems snappier, but there aren't many users on now. I like what I see! I guess the style sheets don't transfer, eh?
