  1. Any chance of sharing all this without having to enlist at Facebook? Obviously there are a number of people here (and elsewhere) who do not want to join FB!
  2. Joe Wilder 'The Pretty Sound' (Columbia, six-eye mono)
  3. An old favorite... Have that one plus several other LPs and CDs recorded under his name including his Columbia albums! All good
  4. Kenny Clarke-Francy Boland 'At Her Majesty's Pleasure...' (Black Lion)
  5. Billy Harper 'Knowledge of Self'
  6. Joe Wilder Gotta listen to this! I'm just wild about Wilder! Only aware of a couple of Prestige dates with him (Oliver Nelson, Etta Jones...). Would be too long to check his enormous discography
  7. Milt Hinton 'Bassicly with Blue' (Black and Blue)
  8. I would take Mosaic, Masters of Jazz and Classics
  9. The liner notes of the original Debut release were written by Bill Coss who indicates there was tension before (Miles waited one hour in front of his hotel waiting to be picked up and driven to the recording studio 'which was only two blocks away') and during the session (like 'Mingus was bothering the drummer', '...on one take Miles wandered so far afield that he was completely lost...', '...fortunately another (take) was made'). And that's how some great music was produced. The original LP cover:
  10. Milt Jackson 'Sings' (Festival)
  11. The full series is available now http://www.pepperadams.com/Compositions/index.html
  12. Steve Lacy 'Ballets' (HatHut)
  13. Nat Pierce 'Chamber Music for Moderns' (Coral, mono)
