  1. Already on it but we need to know what the ump said in defending the ejection And I gotta say "you've been bullshit all game" is absolutely a "don't say that if you don't want to have the rest of the day off" thing, and even if you are walking away.
  2. I don't know that I would suspect that, like, at all. She recorded five times for Concord in the 80s and died at the age of 32 in 1990. A fine player but is she a household name even in jazz homes? I think it would take monumental PR to make a reissue enticing at $30 per LP or whatever they are going for today.
  3. We'll need a Jomboy breakdown on this. https://www.mlb.com/news/aaron-judge-ejected-for-first-time-in-career But I could tell Rizzo yelled "That's the softest shit I've ever seen" at :33 on the vid at the top.
  4. What Felser Would Like - Not Me
  5. Rape is and that's obviously what I was referring to.
  6. First, I think I have read that is the most common sexual fantasy of women so ... but regardless I would say its a huge leap from spread legs to "rape ideation". Maybe Crouch took something that was said to him by one woman and he expanded from that small sample size?
  7. Available gratis to a good home in the lower 48. PM me.
  8. To have missed Fathead twice in a couple of months is just pathetic. Trying to figure out the release but discogs is not functioning for me. From The Blessing ... don't think I have that one so there's that!
  9. D'OH. Time Goes By.
  10. Woh .... Yankees going up against Burnes to avoid a sweep by the O's. Now I've done it and the bats will probably come to life. 😟
  11. And played only because of an emergency bee keeper call-out. I find it amusing they played "Holding Out for a Hero" and it was certainly appropriate for an impromptu ceremonial first pitch by the man of the hour. He looked young and fit and I thought he would fire one in there but alas ...
  12. A lot of tunes here that didn't really grab me, also didn't make me want to scream "NEXT". As usual I am worthless on guesses but: #9 - Lovely "Funny Valentine" by a tenor that I bet is a recognized legend but I want to go against the grain and say it is someone younger. Harry Allen? #10 - it took a while but this is a WFWL-NM. I'm sure that can be decoded.
  13. Did I hear "Goldfinger" in there?
  14. If it does, I'd like a discussion about what constitutes crossing the strike zone. Maybe I am inventing a difference, but tennis can have its microscopic touching of the edge of the line and its overruled, ball was "in." I'd love to see baseball adopt, should they use robo-calls of balls/strikes, a "a majority of the ball" standard.
  15. Received on release day and after a couple of spins I quite agree.
  16. Judging from reactions on the Rare Jazz Photos group on Facebook, you'd think Leonard Gaskin isn't very well known at all.
  17. Better use of the "it's funny with swear words" theory: https://www.theonion.com/sony-releases-new-stupid-piece-of-shit-that-doesnt-fuck-1819594774 BTW the Onion must be really hard up for cash. Under three minutes of video and two commercial interruptions so far. SAD!
  18. I had a history/ancient Civ teacher in high school, real hard-ass that kids joked about but he really brought the material to life and I enjoyed his classes. Wish I could think of his name ... He had one go-to line I can never forget. Whenever some ancient ruler executed an enemy or slaughtered a captured army, it was " and that's one way to ... get a head."
  19. Did Ted Williams' homer off the red seat really go 502 feet? Nope, it was longer than that The key to understanding (and the foolishness behind people like Mo Vaugnn, David Ortiz and Tristan Casas claiming it must be a legend and it didn't happen) is A) it was a really windy day blowing out to RF B) Fenway didn't have a second deck back then and it was riding the wind before it left the infield.
  20. Nothing is released to the public except for the Schaap radio shows (most of which were originally published on his web page). Therefore the search function isn't going to help you at this time.
