  1. I have no idea what this means. Am I doing the daddy talking? Because my kids never speak and I don't think my method of communicating with them would be recognized as "Daddy Talk".
  2. Before and after what? The entire post? I don't think so... You repeated "Shh - Listen" as if it were presented as a command when Tony prefaced it at the start and the end as what works for him and his own personal opinion.
  3. Let's not ignore what Tony said before and after:
  4. Impressive - as far as how its done it must be related to the old three steel rings trick.
  5. He wasn't a part of the main story, he had a supporting role - he played the companion of an elderly clinic patient who doesn't really want sex as often as modern chemistry creates the ability, and it turns out neither one really wants sex but thinks the other one does. And then House figures out that they aren't even married but are carrying on an affair. Pretty funny, as I recall.
  6. The former was the subject of this post, a very enjoyable late-period recording. Glad you're finally hearing it, Lon!
  7. Done. Wish I could do more than Level 1 but it is what it is. Looking forward to hearing it!

  9. Well, the strange things continue. This time, Coltrane, who has handled the job of Chief of Perimeter Security very well, was kind of off his nut giving Perimeter Alerts, including going upstairs to bark, which he has never ever done before. When we let him outside, he did not go to the fence but went to the middle of the yard, paced in a circle and barked. Definitely unusual but I placed no real significance on it. However, my wife did as after the original "weird things" involved the dogs she is very sensitive to any perceived threat to them. So, she got some more advice from her Wicca colleagues and went about "sealing" the house today - mostly using black salt and incense. I normally just try to be tolerant of whatever she wants to do and I would never tell her not to follow her beliefs. What made me wonder about what she did and what effect it may have was the fact that when she was done, she came into the office and sat down and told me that whatever she did it must have really pissed something off, because now she can hear furious screaming in her head. Not a brutal headache, but the sound of screaming, and not agonized screaming but angry screaming. This subsided after about 15-30 minutes. If you are wondering, she wasn't told to expect this reaction, so there can be no suggestion effect. And when my wife tells me she hears angry screaming in her head, I believe her. She's not interested in freaking me out or making me believe what she believes, and she's never told me stories, ever. She thinks this is very serious now. And interestingly enough, one of her wands has reappeared. I wasn't accurate before about where she keeps the wands. When not in use, they are in a box with a handful of other objects that she doesn't like to leave out. If it was highly unlikely that I would miss the CDs that were found in the shopping bag, I can say unequivocally that it is completely, 100% impossible for her to miss the wands when she looked for them many times before. There are so few things in that box if it had been there before she would have seen it. And it were right on top when she opened the box. One thing I want to ask her when she gets home tonight is whether the wand had anything to do with what she did in the house today, and if it did, is it possible the Fairies finally gave one back because they knew she needed it?
  10. Was it a better session for being had at that price?
  11. I always thought the "overpay for a service with a fraudulent check" scam was done for fairly small potatoes, but sometimes even a lawyer falls for it and gets ripped off for $189,000.00! For those of us who don't care much for lawyers, this one is almost funny. Of course, the risk when you rip off a lawyer is that he'll find someone to sue, and in this case he's going after Citibank for telling him that the fraudulent check had cleared.
  12. Three cheap copies of the domestic release available through eBay.
  13. Weren't almost all of the 45s edits, except for releases like the vocal version of Senor Blues that was included on the CD?
  14. Not as much fun as the Dusty Groove Mad-Libs but I'll play: Are you kidding me? The premise behind the movie 2012 was a total sham! Think about it! Everyone knows that Nostradamus never mentioned the Mayans. And have you noticed that James Cameron has started to act very strangely? They obviously don’t want this story getting out. I mean, what would happen if people began asking about the coming Ice Age?? Well, they may be able to fool the sheeple, but the members of the Symbionese Liberation Army aren't swallowing their story. Look, don’t take it from me; Santa Claus is convinced as well. But we have to act fast, because I saw Santa buying sunblock. I just wanted you to be aware of this, in case I disappear.
  15. doesn't constitute an argument, it is an asininity. Hence, "dumb ass" is a fairly reasonable description of someone who writes such a thing.
  16. Or, if you really didn't want to be offensive, you could simply say the obvious, that they are different players with different conceptions. Stating that Gene Harris "could only dream" of playing like Jamal implies that he wanted to or tried to and failed at it. I could just as easily say that Jamal could only dream of playing like Gene Harris or driving an audience into a frenzy like Gene did. Uh, no. Crosby and Fournier were something special, and so were Bill and Andy. Different doesn't in anyway mean better. I think you've listened to one too many Eric Alexander Venus lp's. Excellent non sequitur. Thanks for playing. Dumb ass.

  18. Congratulations, Aric, you've taught me something I had not known about BN. The ironic thing is that this would have to be a later pressing and as such, the collector's mind would tend to discount its value; I think its kinda cool.
  19. Now that I think about it, this set being released is an argument for MC to revisit a Three Sounds set. He's basically rejected the idea because there were so many recordings and insufficient variety therein. Well, someone correct me if I am wrong but it seems to me that the exact same thing can be said about the Jamal trio.
  20. Huh? 189 million dollars wasn't enough to cover his performance over the last ten years, he should get paid on old performance in his next contract? The reality is that Jeter has an enormous ego and will insist on a contract that lasts as long as he wants, for as much as he wants, with no understanding, formal or informal, that he would ever be moved off of SS. And don't think that A-Rod's contract won't set the parameters. And the Yankees will pay it.
  21. I am offering two "nearly new" books for sale: The Jazz Loft Project Lists at Amazon for $26.40 new, about $20 plus shipping through Amazon Marketplace. My price: $19 including Media Mail shipping in the US, or $16 plus actual shipping cost worldwide. ON HOLD Baseball Americana - Treasure from the Library of Congress Lists new for $20 at Amazon, but the Amazon Marketplace options aren't much less and don't appear to be in as good condition. This is a terrific "coffee table" book filled with great pictures along with fascinating essays. My price: $17 including Media Mail shipping in the US or $14 plus actual shipping cost worldwide. Paypal or money order. Receipt of PM takes priority if more than one person lays claim. Update: Jazz Loft book is on hold; will some baseball fan step up and help me upgrade to the Organissimo DVD?
  22. Girardi will be gone by the ASB. In news from the real world, the Twins will be in trouble if Joe Nathan ends up requiring Tommy John surgery. Sounds like it will be two weeks before they make a decision but if the ligament is torn its far more likely he goes under the knife than not.
  23. I'm glad someone got it. And I fail to see why secrecy would be sworn because deals aren't in place. Actually giving out such information might lead to the kind of positive reaction that would help along the licensing process for both parties, as both parties might get some encouragement to conclude a deal. Granted, a thousand people won't declare their absolute intention to purchase a set by X, but its forums like this one that provide feedback from customers.
