As the "mod" of this thread, I'd like to congratulate everyone who has kept it going much longer than I thought it would go. So in the spirit of celebration, and in honor of St. Valentine's Day, I suggest that between now and February 14, should a suggested theme be too hard it may be substituted with five albums which contain the words PLAYS FOR LOVERS in the title!!!

At that price, I highly recommend the Sergio Mendes box. Favorite Things is weak, and I haven't heard Great Arrival, but Beat of Brazil, El Matador and Swinger are great.

Apropos of this thread, I think...I read USA Today a couple of days ago (Wednesday?), and there was an article in the Money section about Amazon. Their profits did not meet expectations. Anyway, I was struck by the statement that Amazon Marketplace sales in 2011 were way up, something like 50%, over 2010.
