  1. I saw 3 shows last year and needless to say it was great. Victor Lewis was on drums and as a drummer myself I was impressed to say the least. Sure hope they do some recording. PS was James Spaulding still on the alto chair (with Gary Bartz last year)? He surely was one the high points for me those shows.
  2. Thanks Brad, very nice of you!!!
  3. I even like the Japan only "out Takes" cd of these sessions. A bit rough and not in sync at times but still great to hear in such fantastic sound (happen to have these all as Japanese SACD's).
  4. Is it possible for someone in the US to buy one for me? Of course after you all had a chance to buy it.......I can do paypal or CC whatever you want. Thanks in advance.

What a relief Medina is OOP for BN USA!!!!!
  6. Don't know whos it is but certainly not MC's. The LP only label is called four men with beards and they also are in charge of Water (as I've been told by MC some time ago).

    New EST album.

I haven't heard in detail but what I heard sounded very familiar....so more of the same EST. They are running out of ideas (just like Soulive does/did).
  8. Not right RDK: they should have included the live Four on Six and then it would be OK. For overdubs you can still get the remastered LPR so no need to duplicate those too.

The shop I work for has copies too.........go figure.
  11. must be me since I've never sold a Mosaic on eBay!!!!!
  12. What don't you understand Kevin??? You'll have to get back to 16 Bit, 44.1 for cd so SBM is one way to organize the bit's back to 16 bit. There are also other "systems" doing this so you don't have to use Sony's method for it. Don't know what Rudy uses for this. The DSD thing Lon talked about Rudy uses for the SACD's he did (and does) so not for the RvG series.
  13. Rudy isn't using Sonic Solutions gear. And transfers with 24 Bit, 44.1 kHz!!!
  14. Hello all, did anyone buy this reissue already? Shorty Rogers & His Orchestra - The Wizard Of Oz & other Harold Arlen Songs (DRG Records) I have the RCA Spain prodiced version on CD but that's mono. The cover states Living Stereo on this reissue and the CD-Universe page says stereo too. Please let me know if it's in Stereo. Thanks in advance!!!
  15. sorry for trying to be helpful.....all McMastered by the way.
  16. Hans: Joe Morello - Collections TOCJ-9453 & Bill Perkins, etc. - Just Friends TOCJ-9449 This might be cheaper that the Peppers set when you already own the other Pepper TOCJ's!!
  17. Chaney: I wish I could spend it on those Mitsui's Gold but I still didn't find a seller online who charges normal shipping to Europe. Any help would be appreciated......
  18. There's nothing wrong with the Mosaic statement for the remastering of this set. They refer to the older US editions (and why shouldn't they do that, most record buyers don't buy Japanese imports like we all do). I won't be buying this select as you can imagine.
  19. Good to hear some corporate big shot telling us what Blue Not might/might not do. Thanks!
  20. Ventura isn't on baritone but on bass sax. Great to hear that instrument, puzzled me when I first heard it.
  21. brother of Andrew.........
  22. I believe the Byrd/Adams mono was a mistake (or a RvG thing).
  23. Late: can you please check that Gillespie CD again? A copy I saw in the store I work for was only 76 minutes long.....Strange thing don't you think!
  24. Maybe if they (Water) can speed up the pace a little they truely can become the Rare Groove of the 21st century. Say at least 5 titles a year and they'll get the qualification (and seal of approval) from me!
  25. How about the Kenny Cox 2fer? Frank Foster's Manhattan Fever (with the unissued session thrown in for good measure). Some 70's Hutcherson would be great too.
