  1. In the Netherlands the Mulligan set is already available through Universal. It's the same as the Mosaic but with another number on the side (so not the regular Mosaic MD4-221). The set also has a promo sticker on the back of the box with advertisement why you should buy the set!!! The set appears to be made in the USA and not in the EU as Michael C. told me. Anyway it's not cheaper than ordering it directly at Mosaic and...Mosaic doesn't get a penny from these sets so if you want to support them please order it directly. Cheers, Reinier
  2. I'm also a great fan of the serie. I have about 60 of them. Only one minor mistake in the reissue department who made them.....they should have included the original cover art somewhere inside the booklet. Great sound and nice photo's of 50-60's Paris so no complaint about that. I might be able to get the Broken Wing-Chet Baker from the store I work for if someone is interested in it. Mail me at bluebevervoorde@hotmail.com Cheers, Reinier
  3. Now for a change the US mini LP addicts have to buy the European versions of the LPR series because in Europe they continue to issue them as mini LP's while in the US the last two batches are digipacks!!! Long live Verve Europe!!!! Or is that a little too much. Cheers, Reinier
  4. Thanks for the confirmation Grey. And indeed I'm sort of a completist so I'm not going to stop looking for it. I have a CD-r and the LP so I know what is played and how. Cheers, Reinier
  5. OK here we go: 1) Kenny Cox (2-fer if possible or doubletime if not) 2) Frank Foster 3) Horace Silver & Wood , & Brass (2-fer if possible or doubletime if not) 4) Stanley Turrentine - Always Something there & Look of Love (2-fer if possible or doubletime if not) 5) Three Sounds and the Oliver Nelson Big Band (forgot the title) 6) Bobby Hutcherson - Head on etc....... Cheers, Reinier
  6. The Moody 1951 sides are (almost complete) issued on a BMG Disques Vogue CD called James Moddy & Frank Foster in Paris. The Quintet session is complete (8 tracks) and the with strings session all save 2 (?). The Foster Quartet session is from 1954 and also very good. The CD has number 09026-68208-2 and is of course long OOP but should be trackable somewhere (usually as a cut out). Cheers, Reinier
  7. I agree with Soul Stream especially since there's a better tape out there in Japan which could have been used. I'll buy the set as well (and keep the TOCJ of course) but it's a pitty MC didn't look into this before releasing it (I've mailed him about it and he was surprised this tape did excist). Cheers, Reinier
  8. and again NO according to me!!!!! Just buy the select (and support Mosaic) and sell the duplicates on Ebay. Cheers, Reinier
  9. Actually they are called Benno's, the Billy's are the regular book binns!!!!! I have those tall high ones (not the pictured inserts for the Bily's). Weizen......why do you have them sealed as well??? Cheers, Reinier
  10. 262 excluding the Blue Note Years series (also in carton sleeve) of which I have all 20. The JRvG series also includes non Blue Note titles so are they supposed to be included? Of the regular TOCJ series I'm close to perfection save 2 from the 57XX series. Sorry folks no duplicates........ Cheers, Reinier PS as for the storage I have the Ikea cd storage racks which have enough space to hold the carton sleeve cd's (which are higher as you all know). Here are all my ±1750 Japanese carton sleeve cd's stored seperate from the regular cd's.
  11. Let's make it a riddle (I'm too lazy to count anyway). I have all the conn's which aren't available as either TOCJ or JRvG. I also have the conn if it has extra tracks not on the Japanese version (be aware of the later JRvG's which do have the alt's and extra tracks!!!). To make it even more complicated.....I don't have the conn as well if the extra track is only one or two alternate take(s). The one who comes up with the number of conn's I have get's a nice price from me!!! Cheers, Reinier
  12. Thanks Chaney for the nfo. I believe that's the one. American Digital is very customer friendly!!!! They don't ship outside the US!. Cheers, Reinier
  13. Hello all, I believe a year ago or so there was a discussion like this on the BN BB and the Matsui disc's were supposed to be the best. Someone (I believe Kevin B) had found an Australian seller for spindels of these disc's for a good price but I can't find it anymore. I've ordered 100 cd's then and they are indeed perfect. And even with shipping to the Netherlands much cheaper than anywhere else. Can someone please give me the web address of that seller in Australia? Thanks in advance and all the best, Reinier bluebevervoorde@hotmail.com
  14. I do hope the Addey remastering of the Mulligan improves the lousy LPR of the Vanguard material. This batch of LPR's sounded very trebbly and thin. So that's another reason to get it (and for all the material which isn't on cd or not anymore on cd). Cheers, Reinier
  15. Only 9 because of the extra material not on the Japanese issues. (and yes you've guessed right....I have almost all the JRvG's and TOCJ's for that matter too). How silly of me!!!!! Cheers, Reinier
  16. Hello all, I was too lazy to register to this board so that's why I wasn't posting upto now. Yes, I'm back to stay so be aware!!!!! Cheers to all and hope to contribute more regularly in the future. Reinier
