True but it also will download album artwork and displays it while playing it. This seems nice.
I also was hping they'd improve the battery (any news on that?).

CJ: do you mean on the cd itself or the logo on the cover of the booklet (ie the original cover).
The cd itself has either some sort of arty color repro of the cover (The Gale's) or is just black (Reuben Wilson).

Hello all,
just finished listening to this SACD and noticed a strange thing. The supposed superior sounding mono version of the SACD (according to RvG's comments in the booklet) isn't that grealy balanced at all. The left channel has more information than the right (on my system). I have a mono button on my amp and than it's corrected and both channels have the same information. Is this me or do you also experience this. The stereo info is the same as earlier reissues I assume (didn't compare it with the Japanese K2 remastering).
To add to the original question.....(or statement as you wish). Norah's album was (I suspect) recorded digitally (PCM 16 bit that is). You can proces this later to DSD but it's still 16 bit PCM what you hear (if you are lucky and the transfer did come out without a loss). So in fact they did a great job in transfering this music to DSD without loss (according to the graphs). The main reason to release this album on SACD is of course the 5.1 surround capacity this medium has. It was never intended to be an audiophile upgrade..........
