Everything posted by Tom 1960

  1. 103 cases here yesterday. Small potatoes to many but nearly triple the cases we were experiencing a short time ago. Maine has been very fortunate.
  2. I originally posted the release sounded quite good. That obviously was an understatement. It is freakin' great!
  3. I'm presently listening to this album on Spotify and it sounds quite good. I would be interested in others thoughts on this release and seeing that its on the 1201 label any comments pertaining to this label? Originally released on Black Lion.
  4. The sale of the gym became official probably a month ago. It sounds like the guy that owns the building will take over the operation and find people to run it. They have lost a lot of members due to covid.
  5. Curious if any of you guys that workout at your local gym are seeing mask enforcement? I ask this question because I plan on leaving the gym I presently work out at on Friday. The woman who runs the facility pretty much has abdicated any sense of responsibility. Most people are walking around maskless. She's selling the gym and I guess she just doesn't give a s*** anymore. I'm taking my business elsewhere thankfully.
  6. Looking for a reasonable price issue on cd.
  7. Obviously missed that set of listings. Yikes!
  8. Looking for an affordable cd version of the session. Just went on discogs and the cheapest price being $34 US. A little too rich for my blood. Thanks.
  9. Personally I wouldn't do any business with an establishment that didn't require all staff to wear masks. Sorry.
  10. Much needed rain today. But with morning temperatures around 65 degrees before 7 a.m. a great morning to sit outside on the back porch with a cup of coffee. Bliss.
  11. I'm convinced that this pandemic has made some people batshit crazy. Not making excuses of course.
  12. I recently went out to dinner with a couple when the same statement was made. I just put my head down and refused to engage. I just wanted to enjoy my meal.
  13. I imagine perhaps this topic has been discussed in some shape or form here in the past. Knowing some of us here, a lot of us here have rather extensive music collections. Say you pass away tomorrow, what happens to your music collection? Is it left for family members, friends to deal with? Have you made provisions to perhaps donate it to a charitable organization or perhaps maybe to a local radio station? I'd be very curious to read some of the responses. Not that I plan on going anywhere hopefully not for a long time, it is something that that has definitely crossed my mind.
  14. Like I needed another show from 77 but managed to pick up a pretty affordable copy of the Englishtown show for about $40 on discogs.
  15. I've always wanted to get the box and booklet for the Lee Morgan 50's set. It's always been a dream of mine but then again I'm allowed to dream.
  16. Beautiful day in Southern Maine. Temps in the mid-to-upper 70s with a nice little breeze.
  17. Box-set arrived a few minutes ago. Man that was fast. Will start listening shortly. Very excited.
  18. I'm a good friend of Mark Feldman and he'll be glad people are still interested in the label. Sales aren't what they used to be obviously. I own a good chunk of the Reservoir catalog. The Fedchocks are some of my favs from the label with Nick Brignola close behind. The Rob Schneiderman dates with Brian Lynch are quite good. Like the Valery Ponomorev dates. The Steve Kuhn's are very good along with the Kenny Barron session. Don't sleep on the Ralph Moore session either. Did I say I like this label? PS Going to get the Bertha Hope release next time I'm in Kingston.
