As a former employee I just don't get this stuff. Of course I posted my similar experience. From what I've read online overall first class and bulk(junk) mail volume is way down because of the virus. There are days when there is nothing in my mailbox. As for parcel volume I'm hearing it's comparable to the Christmas holidays because with many stores closed and people home, there is a lot or ordering online. Amazon can't even guarantee 2 day delivery for Prime members. Chewy where we order our pet food, is taking forever to ship. We placed an order over 10 days ago and still hasn't shipped. Perhaps the rank and file at the USPS is overwhelmed. Not that's an excuse. Just weird stuff that escapes me.
