  8. I used to have the twofer too. I agree with David that it didn't stand the test of time. Was this the one with the unreadable yellow print on the jacket?

  10. You might try Hal Wilner's meditation on MIngus, Weird Nightmare (Columbia). Loads of strange instruments there including a number by Harry Partch.
  11. Ron Carter; All Blues. CTI
  12. Sad news. I was fortunate enough to see him in London with a Bobby Hutcherson band. A memorable evening. The tour got a mention in the aforementioned Cadence interview. Apparently they found it hard to 'score' in London.
  13. Discovery Records in the UK is also listing the Ayler box. Price is in excess of £50 but I think shipping is free in the UK.

  23. I posted this in another topic a while ago. Doc Severinsen(t), Jordan Ramin(as,ts,bar,p), Bernie Leighton(p), Trigger Alpert(b), Don Lamond(d). Ramin conceived and produced the LP. Looking at the label Ramin gets composer credits for all the non standard pieces.
  24. Happy Birthday Tom.
