  5. George Wallington Quintet at the Bohemia. Progressive/Overseas. Japan
  6. Bennie Green Swings The Blues. Enrica(Japan)
  7. Blue note 10". Late UA pressing
  8. Happy Birthday Bill my Friend. Have a great day.
  9. Good site for non-iPod users.
  10. Thanks for posting, fascinating small piece of jazz history.
  11. Sorry to hear this very sad news. My condolences to you and your family.
  12. The Saint, an old episode with Roger Moore.
  13. Yep, great album. Graps you from the off.
  14. Here's one that passed through my collection you might like to try Emerald Blue (Inspiration from Greorian Chant). It's on Venus. Iirc Bley plays a lot of synth on this. It's from 1994 and has David Eyges on electic cello and Bruce Ditmas drums.
  15. Interesting posts. Although Bley is one of my favourite pianists I've never enjoyed any of his electronic things.
  16. This one has certainly done the rounds! I had the Fontana vinyl then was forunate enought to find a Japanese Jazzline cd with the alternates.
  17. I like it, legit or not it's still a nice date.
  18. Sick to death of the news coverage so far, and it can only get worse.
  19. Still with Contemporary. Buddy Collette; Man of Many Parts. OJC Shelly Manne & His Men Vol 4. King Records(Japan) Fine little band. So nice I'm following it with More Swinging Sounds. Warner-Pioneer pressing (Japan)
  20. Thanks for the reminder, this one hasn't been out for a while. Fine set.
  21. A strong tendency to introversion here.
  22. Difficult to say, but I particularly like the Hardman/Griffin band on the Lerner and Loewe record(RCA). Lee Morgan playing Paper Moon is a killer too. So for me it comes down the the recordings rather than the group. I'm not that fond of Golson Messengers and most of the post Blue Note bands.
  23. Saw this band live in London. If I recall the lp 'S Make It doesn't do the band and, especially Gilmore, justice
  24. Welcome, I'm sure you must be our first member from the DRC.
