  1. Now about to start disc 12. None of these recordings are totally unfamiliar but it's been rewarding, quite a lot to discover.
  2. Does anyone remember the short lived Ronnie Scott's Record shop. It was just behind the Colosseum. I bought Out Of The Cool there and IIRC Ronnie was behind the counter. Last time I was in the area many years ago it was an adult book shop.
  3. Sure is, just about to start disc 5. I've only cherry picked certain sessions previously but I intend tp play the lot over the next two or three weeks. Such fine stuff.
  4. Last on disc one, disc two up next
  5. Now on to disc 3, Tristano trio and solo.
  6. Happy Birthday Jim
  7. Happy Birthday Gheorghe
  8. Complete Atlantic Tristano, Konitz and Marsh. Disc 1
  9. Not seen for years and well worth watching again. I can always watch Nancy Gates
  10. I was at that concert. The first time I heard Mr Murray live.
  11. I know David Murray didn't miss a chance to record, for example the Gypsy Cymbalom Band (nice) but this one with a couple of didjeridu players is a bit odd.
  12. Must be, terrific stuff.
  13. I'm happy you liked it.
  14. There's one other, on HORO from the same concerts as Organic and Conceptual. One I don't have. They've not been played for a while but I'd say that the Cadillac is as good as any.
  15. Thanks for taking the time and patience to look those up. I have most of them by the way.
  16. Discs one and two. Despite the repeats, taken in small doses of one or two discs the music always sounds new ad fresh.
  17. I'd love to catch this gig.
  18. David Murray has four or five solo saxophone albums.
  19. A well earned place in my collections along with Volume 2 and a reason not to buy the Mosaic set.
  20. Jimmy Ponder - A Guitar Christmas. Anyone mention Duke Pearson's Merry Old Soul or Blue Note's Yule Struttin'.
  21. I was still at school when I bought he Jimmy Giuffre Clarinet when it first came out in the UK on London. Fascinating music.
  22. Small jazz interest in the sound track - brief spot for Jimmy Lyons and Andrew Cyrille.
  23. Happy Birthday mate. And many more to come.
