One of the giants of the music. I was just listening to East Broadway Rundown and was thinking about the long, interesting path he's followed (excellent record BTW) and there's no question that Rollins remains one of my favorite tenor players, period. Had the joy of seeing him at Severance Hall here in Cleveland in 2001 (thanks to my wife who landed 4th row tix!) and it remains one of my favorite concert experiences of all time! As someone exclaimed at the concert when he played 'Tenor Madness' for an encore and I see it a fitting way to celebrate his birthday, 'Go Sonny!'

We don't own it, but my wife and I have been watching all six seasons of The Sopranos, which is entertaining enough. We're about six episodes away from finishing the whole deal.

Huge Super Saturday coming up (weather permitting) Jankovic v. S. Williams (have to side with Serena taking the championship) and the two much-anticipated semi's between Murray v. Nadal (have to give the nod to Rafa) and RFed v. Djokovic (which should prove to be more interesting).

Apparently he didn't care for Roddick's sarcastic remarks about all of his injuries. I guess he had to get that off his chest with 20 some-odd thousand fans. Probably didn't make any new friends that night.

looking forward to the S. Williams v. D. Safina match. If memory serves, Safina won the most US Open series points which means if she wins the US Open, she'll earn a total 2.5 mil.

I like the night matches under the lights. Its the only grand slam that has night matches (pretty sure the Australian doesn't).

What a great first set-Fish is playing some very intelligent tennis here! Now the task is to keep playing at this level to pull the upset.
