  1. Pork roast, with mashed potatoes and mixed vegtables.
  2. Noticed that Ebay has a similar search engine.
  3. Tried that, no luck. Saw Katerina Witt and Amanda Beard though :rsmile:
  4. So, has anyone picked up this issue?
  5. GREAT five set match between Federer and Andreev! Federer had to work it out tonight! And then there's the qualifier Muller who's defeated some great players, including Davydenko today, to battle his way to the quarters to meet RFed.
  6. Good five set match between Djokovic and Robredo.
  7. I watch tv for primarily two reasons: sports and documentaries. Everything else I watch is what my wife watches.
  8. Yeah, it was good for Querry to get a set off of Nadal, even though the odds were against him winnning today. Great win for Fish over Monfils too and a surprisingly lackluster performance from Warwinka which lead to Murrary's victory tonight. Del Potro though sailed through in straights as well.
  9. Some great tennis last night, especially Fish's straight set win over Blake and Nishikori's impressive five-set win over Ferrer. Safina in the women's draw did not look nearly as sharp as she's been throughout the US Open series, but somehow she managed to pull it together and defeat Bacsinsky in three sets. My dark horse pick in the men's draw is a toss up between Del Potro and Monfils who are both doing very well in their part of the draw, which is why I think that we are in store for a potentially terrific match-up.
  10. An Evening with Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea-Columbia/Legacy
  11. Thanks everyone for the reviews. Half Price is having a 20% off everything sale, so I went ahead and bought it (got it for $7!) and will give it a spin soon.
  12. Another straight set victory for Federer, although he had to earn it. Maybe its just me, but RFed is looking very sharp...I see a enthralling final on the horizon....
  13. I have on hold the Columbia/Legacy edition of 'An Evening with Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea. It seems to be OOP as many Legacy editions now are, but because of the duff review in the Penguin guide I'm hesitant to pick this one up. I can get it for $8 but I just can't make up my mind. suggestions?

  15. I loved concert band when I was growing up and got into Guaraldi, G. Washington and Spyro Gyra. Then for whatever reason, my mom bought a Quiet Riot, Kiss Paul Stanley solo album and an Iron Maiden single ( the Tull cover, Cross Eyed Mary) and it was all heavy metal throughout my teens (Black Sabbath was one of my favs). But when I turned twenty, I got a job in a bookstore and they played a lot of jazz, and one of the first disks I heard was Guaraldi's Impressions of a Black Orpheus and then Coltrane's Sound and then I was hooked. Since then, its been about 90% jazz w/ classical and rock mixed in (huge 311 fan) and some other stuff. But man, I love jazz and I'm pretty sure its not a fad -_-
  16. Yeah, w/ Coin ranked 188th in the world this is a huge victory for her. Kinda like how everyone seems to be getting a piece of Federer this year, although, Federer did very well the other night. Great match between Fish v. Mateau, where Fish was playing extremely well, even though he dropped a set. Murray is looking very sharp as well.
  17. A little late to this thread, but I'm really sorry to hear about this Alexander. Hopefully everything will work out amicably and expiditiously. HG
  18. More sad news. RIP.
  19. Nicer, but still a little hot...I prefer the fall which is right around the corner!
  20. A real bitter ale from the Willoughby Brewing Co.; I like it but its real bitter, so my wife won't touch it with a 10 foot pole! :rsmile:
  21. Right, totally forgot about Mangelsdorff, Rutherford.... Albert's MPS material, I think, is absolutely essential. The 'Three Originals' packages that came out were very nifty for getting a lot of that material released. Also Conrad Herwig is another one I forgot about. I really like his 'Latin Side of John Coltrane' album on Astor Place.
