    Thanks!
  3. That's the truth, Moose! My wife also made me get rid of all my wonderful fifties/sixties thrift store art. I guess some women just don't have any taste.

Didn't anyone tell you it was BYOB (bring your own beer/booze).
  5. Those look nice. Years ago, my roomate and I covered the walls of our our entire apartment in easy-listening/thrift store/exotica/jackie gleason records. We used plastic sleeves for the LPs and stuck velcro to the wall and to the sleeve (we ended up stapling the velcro piece to the plastic sleeve since the glue on the velcro piece wouldn't hold to the sleeve). By doing this, we were able to enjoy are artwork and still be able to pull the records down for listening. Ah.... the joys of being single. I used to actually have record racks (from record stores) in my living room. Once I got married.... they had to go.
  6. I can't even use the "but it's a limited edition, honey" excuse anymore to buy cds. She always says "Everything's limited edition!"
  7. This is FUN!!!!
  8. You're welcome, Rooster! Here's another try at BLACK FIRE.
  9. I'd buy it!
  10. Here's one, Rooster.
  11. Nice work, John! :rsmile:
  12. No, thank you for giving us a clubhouse, Jim! :rsmile: :rsmile: :rsmile:
  13. I worked in a record store in the '80s. The biggest problem that I had with longboxes (other than the fact that they're wasteful) was that people would slit on the bottom of the boxes with razorblades and swipe the cd. We had security stickers on the longboxes themselves, but once they got the sweet contents out of the longbox, the shoplifters were home free.
  14. He did and that is great. I still think he's a piece of shit. These fuckers do nothing but half ass raps and videos about how much cash they spend. I honestly don't believe it's healthy for the young and poor to see that shit all the time. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/031029/325/ecgdz.html Yup! And he can't even rap. You tell 'em Chocula (I mean Catesta).
  15. Here's a funny article about the marathon. http://sports.yahoo.com/s/onlyinny/
  16. I did the Dark Side/Wizard of Oz thing once (and I was sober ). I agree, it was really great during the first spin of the cd. The music really did seem to sync up with the movie. I haven't tried the 2001/Echoes sync. That sounds great. I'll have to give it a shot sometime. Thanks for the info, Guy! B)
  17. Great album!
  18. Nice reviews. I've never heard of this magazine before. Thanks for the link!
  19. Hi Herb, Welcome to the board!
  20. Right on, Scott! I'm in that phase right now with my 2 year old. I think he'd be happy if he had just one Dora the Explorer DVD, but we keep buying him more, just so we don't have to watch the same episode over and over and over and over and over and...................................... I sure miss getting to listen to jazz.
  21. Man, how'd they come up with those things. They're like the crack of breakfast sandwiches! MMMMMMMMMM!!!!
  22. We went through 8 bags of candy (no, we didn't eat that ourselves ). It was our first Halloween in this place. I haven't seen this many kids trick-or-treating since I was trick-or-treating . It was really fun. My son went out as Pooh Bear and was the hit of the block. It was really cute. So overall, I'd give it.
  23. Hmmm. . . given that I DO like the recordings you've cited that this resembles, I'll keep my eye out for it! Thanks Brandon! I'll also look for some Bronco records, Bev.
  24. I hope you have a GREAT birthday, Claude!
